Up for auction is this Tektronix PS 503A Dual Tracking 0-20V 1A(when in high-power slot) power supply. The max output current is 400mA when installed in a regular(non-high-power) slot. It also provides a dedicated 5V 1A output. It is in decent physical condition and everything is there and works as it should. It could probably use a calibration. The Tektronix PS503A is a dual tracking variable power supply. 0 to +20 volts and 0 to-20 volts. These supplies can be controlled individually as well as by a single control. They can be used as 0 to 40 volt supply as the middle is a floating ground reference and is not connected to the third 5 volt fixed supply. Each 0 to 20 can supply 1 amp when used in the high power compartment of your TM50x mainframe. When not used in high power slot. Each can produce 400 mA. Each also has individual current limiting. The 5 volt supply produces 1 amp regardless of position in your TM50x. The PS503A uses significant resources of the TM50x mainframe. This PS503A is ready to work for perhaps another 20 years. It has been evaluated, disassembled, repaired, cleaned, calibrated and reassembled. It comes with a 14 day right of return for any reason. In the first photo. The outputs are intentionally shorted out so the all the lights are lit for your inspection and also indicating the operation of the current limiting. The top and right side is also visible in this view. The second photo shows the rear plug-in card connector. The bottom and the left side. The third photo shows both output voltages on adjacent DMMs when in tracking mode. DMMs. Cables, and mainframe not included; shown for display purposes. This unit is a few decades old so it is not flawless as shown in the fourth photo. The flaws include a broken out upper left corner of the front plastic surround bezel and a few cracks around the periphery. This is pretty typical with TM50x plug-ins. The dual tracking knob has a blemish on its face and a chamfer mark from an unknown source. The output switch(controls all outputs) no longer has an“ON” imprint on its face which really is kind of meaningless anyway. The lights give a better indication.
