Tektronix TM503 main frame loaded with FG501. DC503A, DM505. Main frame had bad capacitor and a couple of back plane traces damaged in slot one. The essential traces have been jumpered and cap replaced. Basic modules will function fine in slot one. Those requiring xxxxxx voltage will only function in slot two or three. All three modules pass basic function tests. Pix show DM505 measuring 120Vac and shorted leads on 200mV AC scale. DC503 seems to operating correctly, as is the FG501. This Tektronix TM503 power module is in good cosmetic condition. But is a little dusty. It contains plug-ins: three PG505 pulse generators, one PS502 power supply, one MR501 monitor, and one RG501 ramp generator. It weighs 32 lbs. I am not able to verify its working condition and it may need calibration and/ or adjustments. It is being sold as is and may be returned if not satisfied. The unit comes from my grandfather's shop. Tektronix TM503 with DM505 3.5 dig, FG504 40 Mhz, SC501 2.5 in scope -VIDEO DEMO
TEKTRONIX TM500 series box with plug ins! I inherited this unit. I don't have the time to work on it and I have to clean house a bit. So I am letting it go cheap! The TM503 plug-in cabinet and power supply seems to be working fine. The DM505 needs some work. It reads DC voltages fine. Reads AC but needs a calibration. The resistance circuit did not seem to function. The ammeter section is missing two switch actuators and requires you activate them by poking them with a screw driver. The switches could use a cleaning. The FG504 produces adjustable 0-40 Mhz sine/ traiangle/ and square wave waveforms. It will produce continuous wave output. Or can produce either Log or Linear sweeps of the frequency. There is a multi section range switch and a vernier frequency control. There is a nice attenuator on the output. You can feed in DC voltage, ... moreor ramp voltage to produce either continous waves or frequency sweeps according to your input voltage. There are many other functions. The switches could use a good cleaning, as they are sometimes intermittent and require you play with them a little to get them do work. Mostly it functions well. The SC501 is a 5 Mhz 2.5 inch CRT display. Has 10mv to 1 v/division vertical, and a horizontal sweep of 1 s/div to 100ms/ div. These listed around $1000 when new(1977-85) I plugged the unit into the chassis, but did not get a power light. I suspect the power supply has a problem(possibly a regulator? The interior is clean and impressive. With a little work. This could be a nice"multi faceted" instrument! I do provide manual pdf's for all but the DM505. On a CD. SEE THE DEMO VIDEO- I show DC and AC voltage measurements. Produce various function generator operations and give a general tour of the SC501 scope plug in. Tektronix TM 504 DM502A SC504 with TM503 Dual power supply
Okay all you electronics buffs. I fouled around with these things off and on years ago but cannot quite but together a description that really has all the right information. All I do know is that there are three separate compartments with several different input channels/selector switches. The unit powers up and seems to work. However. I am selling as is. I am not certain that the oscilloscope screen is fully functional as I do not have anything to properly test it. If you have any question please ask before you bid. I will do my best to answer them. Please understand if my response is that I am not certain as I may not understand the lingo behind these things. I only have a basic understanding of how they work and what they measure. This grouping includes all of the following: TM503 Power Mainframe Case and 3 Plug-in Modules(DC504 Counter/Timer. FG502 Function Generator, DM502A Autoranging DMM) 2 Oscilloscope Passive Probe X10 TPI M20X10HF(each in original vinyl package) Passive Probes(P6101 x1. Two New P6108 x10 100mhz, P6106 x10 350 MHz 2 meter) Bag of various probes. Test clips, accessories including a cuff type item labeled 3M. The buyer of this will have return privileges in the event the main modules do not work properly. We are doing our best to represent this properly. There is little evidence of previous use except for some paint scraped off on the one side of the mainframe box.

The Frequency adjust knob on the FG 503 3MHZ Function Generator is bent slightly and broke as shown. The knob is broke but the frequency does vary as the knob is turned.
