The unit has not been fully tested however it was given a detailed inspection. The unit is powered on 1ea 9volt and 1ea C size battery. The batteries were removed and discarded to prevent corrosion. All of the dials and buttons moves smoothly and lines up properly with required settings. The meter does bounce when the unit is shaken. There are no burn marks or smells emitting from the unit. There are no instruction manual or test leads. I’m sure they can be purchased for a reasonable price on EBAY. Excellent edition to any vintage radio collector and or radio/component repairer. This is a beautiful antique piece that was designed for testing wattage on electrical equipment. This was made in 1929 by the Weston Electrical Instrument Corporation in Newark. New Jersey. The piece is built into a sturdy wood case(likely oak, but we're not certain) with an aluminum latch and hinges and the original leather carrying handle. The case is marked W16 on the exterior and has the number 100 stamped into the wood on the side of the case. The case ... moreopens up to reveal a panel on the left side with instructions and information on the use of this piece, and the right side is the actual wattage meter mechanism. The mechanism is built into a black metal housing with a number of attachments for testing different types of equipment and a large wattage meter in the center. This is a great antique piece that will be perfect for any vintage electronic equipment collectors! Condition: This piece is antique and used with some wear. The piece is untested and we do not know if it works or not. There is some wear to the wooden case with some scratches. Dings and discoloration from age. The leather handle is brittle.
