Which recorded the comings and going of workers with an accuracy not previously possible. Edward G. Watkins invented and patented one of the first practical time clocks while he was in charge of the engineering department of Haywood Brothers& Wakefield Co. in Gardner, Mass. a maker of chairs and school furniture. Watkins started a company to make the clocks, which eventually became the Simplex Time Recorder Co. This piece is a very early version dating to the 1920's. It is 17 3/4" across the long part of this. The horn opening diameter is 5 1/8" There is a number 715720 on the side of this. Some slight paint wear on the horns. Paint residue on the base part. Hello bidders Today I have a tested and have a working vintage Lathem Time Corporation Time Clock/Recorder made in Atlanta Georgia with the key and the operations manual. Here is some information listed on labels inside the clock. It is a model 2151 Serial No. A-556510, Watts 3-4, Cycles 60, volts 115 It is a UL Listed 306G Time recording equipment. This is a very nice unit with just a little scratch in the front but no dents or denting with the scratch. It just needs cleaned a little. I have tested it for a day and the time piece worked and stayed in time. But you may want to replace the ink ribbon as it is very light when you punch in or out on a piece of paper. please take a few minutes and make pictures large and look at all of them I do not know age of this but it is old! I tested for a few days kept time real close. I will not guarantee this to keep correct time week in and week out. I will guarantee it to run when you get it. It is an old vintage piece it could fail at any moment as anything mechanical is subject to. no warranty. I promise it will work as described when you receive. ink is very weak print. see one picture. likely would print better if stamp wheels were cleaned. Look pictures over I do not notice any serious dents in case. Some sign of surface rust in places, not bad. It is in over all great shape for its age and does show paint specks(can be removed) scratches to the top and the sides from being mounted but nothing major. No large dents and the glass is in perfect condition with no chips or cracks. Some wear to the corners of the unit When testing the unit. It stamped great(see pics) and you can hear the clicking of the inside mechanics turning and working as its supposed to. No manual or instruction guide. No original box and unfortunately NO KEY! Easy fix,just find one on Ebay! The stainless steel plate that you send the time card on shows some spots. Tried to clean but wouldn't come off so I know its not water or liquid ... morejust some oxidation from sitting. Ink is medium color and still able to see time punch just fine. Vintage International Time Clock Punch Recorder-WORKS-Model 2500-5-PRICE REDUCED
International Time Clock Model Number 2500-5 Keeps good time and the punch works as well. Uses an ink ribbon but it is dried out and needs to be replaced. The top comes right off but it would have probably had a lock on it. This one doesn't have a lock. It weighs in around 33 lbs and when it punches the first time it will startle you. It was made to last. It is being sold as it was found without any cleaning or restoration what so ever. It is a bit dirty and has some rust and what looks to be paint that was spilled on it. Here is a heavy mechanical time clock/recorder made by Latham, probably in the 1950's/60's. I ran it for 24 hours and it kept good time. Pushed a card in and pulled down the handle and it made an impression in the paper but there was no ink on it because the ribbon is dry. Ribbon indexed properly with each punch. Lock has been removed and a new one can be inserted. Face has a crack. Cord is in good safe condition.

Up for sale is a a mid-century Lathem time recorder/ punch clock. Time clock was tested at time of listing and is functional. But needs ink, and key cannot find. and needs to have the date changed(which I have no clue how to do) Unit does have nicks and scratches from normal wear and use. Nice vintage time clock. New locks are not very much to replace.

This vintage time clock is in good working condition. The item keeps and records time but needs a new ink ribbon. It shows signs of use such as chips in the paint. Paint splatter where it was mounted on a wall, stains on the paint, and some scuffs and scratches. I do not have the key for the lock though the cover does come off.
