Large Vintage Military Time Wall Clock Electric Works!
19 inch diameter vintage military time wall clock. It is an electric clock and still works great. Has been owned for many years by Veteran. Though not sure of exact age. It is scratched on the outer wall edges, see photos, But the glass is still good and not cracked. It has an older style electrical plug as used in their 60s or 70s although no specific date of manufacture appears on the clock. This is a RARE STROMBERG ELECTRIC COMPANY TIME CLOCK from the early 1900's out of a factory in Indiana. The brass plate on the front has a Pat. date of June 15. 1915. It is 16" tall, 11" wide, and 9 1/2" deep. I'am selling it AS IS-AS FOUND. The keys are missing and without power connected to it there is no way to see if it works. Some of the paint is peeling off. Late 1930's vintage E.Ingraham electric clock. Model SSC2. Time and Strike Cathedral. The clock runs quietly. Keeps accurate time. The striking part works,too. Strikes a small brass bell on each hour counts that hour, and once every half hour. Good looking original finish. With a few small scratches/chips in the finish, some sight aging, but overall nice looking, smooth and shiny, no broken pieces. Here's what Ingraham advertised in their original catalog: Church nave design.gold plated sash.selected walnut finished in a slightly different shade of two-toning to secure the best artistic effect.entire case finished in lacquer and hand-rubbed. The dial face is good. Black hands with brass smooth sweep seconds hand. Good round convex dial glass is clean no cracks nor scratches. The brass bezel surround looks good too, Original label ... moreon the bottom of the clock showing model number SSC2. The knob at the back turns counterclockwise ONLY to set the time. It's not good to turn a chime/strike clock or an alarm clock in reverse. Or backwards. Turn the knob counterclockwise only, never try to turn back the time, it'll damage it. There's a tiny slotted screw on the left side to adjust the strike hammer or to disable the strike if turn enough. Good newer but vintage power cord with rubber plug. Stands 10-3/4 inches tall. 7-3/4 inches wide at the base, 4-1/2 inches deep at the base. Note: Items in picture#12 not included in the auction. GENERAL Electric Multi Time Zone Clock Model 8111 EUC
This beautiful electric clock hails from probably the mid to late 70s and is in excellent condition. It was made by General Electric in Bridgeport. Connecticut with the wooden case made in Japan. It is model 8111 and is a sort of 24 hour clock in that it has a regular clock face with sweep second hand and then below that it has a 24 hour range for the major cities of the world. To the right is has a map again showing the world cities in a 24 hour grid and there is a separate dial on the back to set this dial. The background of the clock and map is a goldtone metal and the case is a light weight solid wood that looks to be stained in a walnut color and the face is plastic without any scratches. It measures 13 inches wide. 6 inches tall and 2.5 inches deep. It is extremely lightweight and veeeery quiet. It doesn’t have that funny hum from the ... moreolder electric clocks and keeps perfect time. There are only a couple of very minor scuffs and the only real flaw is that the previous owner used something to set the time that scratched the wood on the back of the clock. Like pliers. Up for bid is a vintage GE(General Electric) tube style clock radio in a tan color. Case is solid and undamaged. But needs a bit of detailed cleaning. Radio hums, but clock works okay. Cord is stiff, but original and undamaged. Knobs are all lightly worn but present and working. All we heard when trying the radio was a humming noise. Superb English made wall clock from my mother-in-law's house which was built in 1966. This clock was fitted in the kitchen shortly after the house was built and was working until earlier this week when mother-in-law bought a new clock which she wanted fitted in a different position. There was a standard(UK) square single flush fitting electrical box behind this clock providing power via the clock's fused plug and socket(included) This square plug/socket(shown in photo) is very slimline and is easily hidden. With the cable, behind the clock. The clock hangs on a hidden single screw or nail head(not included) The clock itself measures 9 3/4" 24.7cm) across and stands off the wall approx. 2 3/4" 7cm) It is a single casting in cream plastic with raised numerals picked out in black. Horseshoe Electric Clock, Deco Chrome, 1930s-1950s, Runs and Keeps Good Time
Nice early electric clock with an equestrian theme. I can find no maker information on the clock. Only that it is electric and made in USA(on the face) There is a space above the clock face for engraving. So this clock probably served as a trophy for equestrian sports. This clock uses a Synchronous Multi-pole Motor to regulate the time based on the 60 Hz AC electric supply in American homes. This makes the clock extremely accurate and can run for months without requiring re-setting the hands. To set the clock running. Plug into a wall outlet, set the time using the lower knob on back. To set the synchronous motor running spin the upper knob to the right using your thumb and forefinger. It may take a couple tries to get the motor to catch. When the knob spins on its own, the clock is running(note, do not touch the spinning knob once the clock ... moreis running as it will stop the clock and you will need to restart) Notice on the front there is a hole under the 12. Inside the hole you will see a spinning wheel turning red then black, this assures that the clock is running. If it is stopped, the clock experienced a power interruption and the time is not accurate, reset and start the clock. I have cleaned and lubricated the clock. The power cord is also replaced for safety. It has been running in my home for 6 months with no problems. I polished the chrome to shiny brightness. But there are a few blemishes that would not polish out. I consider them patina that attests to the age of the clock. The clock measures 9.5 in high. 9 in wide, and 4 inches deep. We are offering for auction a clock. It is a Telechron Electric Banjo that is circa 1920's. It is a time only clock and it is working. It was made by Warren Telechron Co. Ashland. Mass. The case is brown mahogany and it is in good condition with no breaks. The reversed painted glasses are very good. The bottom glass is Mt. Vernon. The dial is good and has some wear. It has the original cloth cord that is in excellent condition. There are two place that you can plug the cord into the clock, at the bottom of the neck glass and at the top below the eagle. It has a great eagle and good side rails. I hear no noises when the movement is running. Vintage Procter& Gamble Electric Time Wall Clock. Research shows that these clocks were made during the 1930s. In appearance and style it reminds me of Charlie Chaplin's move'Modern Times' It measures about 15 1/ 4" square and is 3" deep. Weighs 5 pounds. The frame is black pained wood and there is a glass covering. The face is textured silver with black numbers, hands and the words"PROCTER& GAMBLE, ELECTRIC TIME" The back is open. There is a small metal loop at the top for hanging. The clock mechanism is stamped"PATENTS PENDING, KODEL" Condition: Does not work. Missing the electric cable. Even if the cable were supplied I have doubts that it could work again with this mechanism. The face is made out of foil covered cardboard and it has some creases and breaks in the surface and some black ... moremarks in the center. There is an 1/8" separation at one of the corners(between 10 and 11 o'clock) General wear. Scratches and scrapes on the wood frame. The glass cover is in good condition. The day and date function automatically changes every night at 12 just as this clock was designed to do when they made it. The little knobs to chnage the day and date are present but one has been replaced with an electrical connector. I acquired this clock like this.
