Cat 226 Skidsteer Skid Steer 226b Caterpillar Runs But Needs Some TLC
I have a 1999/2000 CAT 226 skidsteer for sale. I took it on barter from a guy I did some work for and just never got around to doing anything with it. He was the original owner and used it mostly to load mulch and decorative stone. He parked it and went to move it approx a year later and it started right up but wouldn't move. When we did the deal and I got the machine home I lifted the cab and noticed a lot of hydraulic fluid in the floor of the machine. I added a little oil and it came back to life(started moving and operating) I then bought a new muffler. Fuel, air and hydro filter) I installed the muffler and made a new flex pipe(not my best work) I then attempted to change the hydro filter(I can not seem to get it off) changed the fuel filters, air filter etc. I have and I am Including a new hydro filter, new oil filter, has a new ... moremuffler on it but you may want to put a new flex pipe to have it perfect. I went to start it after I put the muffler on and now I am getting the blinking seat belt/ parking brake sensor flashing issue so I now gave up. I am selling it as is in need of a mechanic which I am not. I was told the machine operated fine when it was parked(and I trust the guy 100% I personally heard the motor running and it ran beautiful like it should. It is a joystick controlled machine and seems like it would make a very nice little machine for a homeowner to landscaper.
