This is an excellent running'06 Cat 257B with enclosed cab featuring A/C and heat. A/C blows cold and works like it should. One of the vents for the heat and A/C is missing some fins for air direction. The plexiglass in the cab door has some scratches as usually expected on these machines. The machine has new anti-vibration tracks and the undercarriage is in very good condition. No bogies or rollers need replacing all are about 70-80% condition. Bucket has quite a bit of concrete residue on it. But is a good bucket that is Cat brand. Machine features the Quicktach option. The machine has pilot controls(JCB SERVO CONTROLS) and provisions for auxiliary hydraulic equipment using a foot control. It is powered by a Perkins 92 HP 4 cylinder turbo diesel engine. The loader comes with a 82 5/8" bucket(almost 7' The unit is estimated to weigh just over 10.000 lbs. All measurements and weights associated with this machine are estimated. I have never had the machine weighed and I measured the machine with a tape measure for the purposes of shipping. I took this loader in on a trade with intentions to use it for the summer but I have decided that the project is beyond my ability. ... moreI do not know much about the machine and I do not have experience with heavy equipment to honestly comment on the cosmetic and mechanical condition of the machine. What I do know is that it starts and runs good. There are no warning lights on inside the cab. The machine tracks straight and the hydraulic pumps do not whine or make noise. The engine sounds good and runs very smooth. The tracks appear to be recently replaced. I did have a mechanic inspect the loader and he said that all fluids are clean and up to the correct operating levels. All filters have been recently changed. I currently have the machine stored indoors and there is a small drip of(what I believe to be) hydraulic oil on the concrete floor. This took about a month to show up. I did use the machine to move a pile of dirt in my yard that has been there for years. The stockpile was compacted and vegetated and hard as a rock. This machine moved that pile with very little effort at all. 2004 Caterpillar Cat 287B Multi-Terrain Track Loader Skid Steer Compact
Elk Forest Farms. Inc. is pleased to offer a 2004 Caterpillar 287B multi-terrain loader. The machine is powered by a 4-cylinder turbo caterpillar engine. The engine starts easy and runs out well with no visible oil leaks or noises. The hyd. system on the machine works very well. The loader has brand new rubber tracks on it($3300) This machine also has aux. hyd. to the front for attachments. The machine has pilot controls. It has an enclosed cab with heat but no front door. I see some front doors here and there bring $600-$1200 used. The rest of the glass is intact with no cracks. The hour meter reads 78149 hours and this is due to the fact the meter keeps running. I have been told the issue is the voltage regulator in the alternator has a short in it supplying the power to the hour meter all the time. But if actual original hours is desired ... morethe Cat dealer can plug into the ECM control module and retrieve the actual running hours and reset the hour meter clock to reflect this. I bought he machine from a contractor who told me the machine has an estimated 2300-2600 hours on the machine right now. Also, you would have to rebuild the voltage regulator within the alternator to correct this problem. We installed a brand new battery in the machine and the machine does seem to charge. All dash lights do go out when the machine is in use. We used the machine around the yard here for a little over a month and it works excellent. I see no hyd.cylinder leaks. NEW fuel filter, NEW Napa battery, NEW RH drive sprocket, and NEW paint. This loader runs, drives, and works perfectly. All hydraulic functions work as they should. All hydraulic cylinders, hoses, and fittings are in good condition. No fluid leaks on this machine. This Vermeer loader is equipped with the Kubota D1105 25HP diesel engine. This Vermeer loader/engine has 739 original hours. This machine has steel link tracks. Tracks are at 50% life left. RH track has small gouge. See pic#12. RH sprocket is at 100% life left. 2008 Caterpillar 277C Multi Terrain Loader...1900hrs...Clean! Skid Steer Loader
2008 Caterpillar 277C Multi Terrain Loader with less than 1900hrs. Machine is very clean as shown in the pictures. EROPS with Heat. Nice tight machine. All bushings and pins are good. Tracks are 90+% with a full upgraded undercarriage with BAIR Products Idlers and Bogies($4500 in 2013) Machine starts and runs great even on the coldest days. Plenty of power. Has a block Heater but I never used it. Heat works great! The radio is a nice addition especially when pushing snow for long hours. Has a GP bucket with reversible cutting edge. The only thing I don't like about this machine is the manual quick coupler.Im spoiled with my other cat i guess. No issues at all. Fresh Filters all around.
