At one point it had neon or led inside and most likely a transparent face that the light shone through. But it makes a good raw looking industrial piece as it is. The back even makes a pretty cool front as you can see in the 2nd picture. It's lightweight. made of aluminum, but very sturdy. It wear and imperfections that comes from being an actual used signage piece, but it could be painted inside and out, or left as-is. I'm using the postage calculator on this. It has a great vintage appeal, and features three 3D malt glasses with colorful straws, one pink, blue and green, and they stick out from back of sign(not sure if you can tell from pics) There are 2 stirring spoons between the 2nd and 3rd glass. The word"MALT" is sticking out at the bottom of sign on top of the word"shoppe" And all around the frame, the sayings read: ALL NIGHT. SALT& PEPPER, DOUBLE SCOOP, CUP OF JOE, SODA FOUNTAIN, HOTDOGS, EXPRESSO, AND EGGS OVER EASY" It looks like frame is outlined in a very faint yellow along the outer perimeter of frame. For your consideration I have a vintage shadow box that features cork screws that were in use in many different countries during the 19th and 20th century. It includes the following countries. 1. Germany 1903 2. France early 20th century 3. United States 19th century 4. England late 19th century 5. Italy 19th century This is a really neat wall hanging piece of art. These cork screws are miniature and are made of metal which features nice patina. Also a couple feature wood handles.
