Up for your bidding consideration is this HARD TO FIND vintage 1950's Heineken brewery beer light up sign. Manufactured by Price Brothers out of Chicago Illinois. This sign is in overall very good original condition and displays wonderfully and lights up as it should. There is a nickel sized chip on the interior of the glass, on the upper left hand corner(as seen in the provided pictures) This chip is slightly noticible, but does not take away from the piece's displayabilty and good looks. There are also a couple of much smaller chips on the bottom two corners of the glass, but these can not be seen when the sign is displayed. It is clearly marked"Price Brothers Chicago" on the decal on the back of light, right next to the Union lable. The cord and plug appear to be original to the piece and shows no signs of cracks or breaks ... morein the wiring insulation. This sign measures approximately 10" wide and 6 1/2" tall. A great sized metal front price plate from a stamp vending machine. Deposit 1 to 20 nickels. 1 to 10 dimes or 1 to 4 quarters. The bras plate has the original brown and black paint. It measures 6 3/4 wide by 3 2/8 inches tall. 6 drilled mounting holes. A slight ding in the wording"20 nickels" other then that nice original condition. If you need this plate now is the chance to get it! Have no idea what type machine this cae off of? some slight discoloration from age,great for any stamp/machine collection! the condition can be seen in the pictures BELOW, 100% old and original, don't know where you would find another! Great old movie theater collectible that probably came out of an old art deco movie house.This is a 12' wide by 6' and half inch high and almost a quarter inch thick.It is heavy clear plastic and is original from probably the 1950's.The prices are deeply etched in the back of the sign with admission prices and taxes.It would be a great home theater collectible.I showed a picture of a couple from the 1940's buying a ticket from the ticket booth that has a similar sign hanging in the booth.It has some light scratches that could be removed with a good plastic cleaner.Would look great in a frame with a dark background or hanging from a brass chain.Ask any questions 865-357-1560. The bulb is a tad loose as when you bump it it flickers a tiny bit. It works and shines bright. Although during shipment the bulb may come loose. I have shipped others and they got there fine. I am just putting it out there that the bulb sometimes loosens during shipment. There are no chips cracks or repairs. They don't come much more authentic than this! Here is what I believe to be( a matching set of 4 antique. Cast iron sign/price holders. Quite LITERALLY found in the bottom of a barrel in a barn. The family ran a feed store in the early 1900s. It is marked with a patent date of AUG. 9, 1887. All kinds of possibilities from primitive to industrial/factory decor. I have also seen them identifying plants in a country garden. Original mounting screws intact and working. Nice aged patina with slight rust residue in places. Not sure what the letters/numbers looked like or how they were attached. Each frame measures 13 1/4 inches long and 5 3/4 inches tall, not counting screws. Winner gets all 4 shown in photos. They have that Art Deco, Modern style. Someone used a lead pencil to put their name and date; 8/2/35 inside of the lid. A few pieces are missing; the box says 20 bases, I counted 15. Among whom were W. J. A. Meyer. Walter Logan, and Scott Meyer. The Chamber of Commerce gave a tract of ground 105 ft. by 384 ft. in Out Lot 52. The company constructed a building 50 ft. by 110 ft. The Company agreed to expend $100,000 in payrolls in a three year period. This contract was fulfilled. Later in 1922, an addition was built to the regular building. The Chamber of Commerce gave $15,000 cash and the land for this addition. The company agreed to spend $3,500,000 in payrolls in a seven year period.
