Both of my parents were doctors, my father from Ireland and my mother from the Philippines. Both were world travelers and collectors of fine art and collectables! This one is of the Cashel Cathedral. Vintage Rennovated ROUTE 66 Metal Traffic Light w/Sequencer Tire Base WORKS! Description. Up for bid is this fantastic vintage metal traffic light that we have renovated in a Route 66 theme. The gentleman we purchased it from said it was from Illinois. Whether or not it was actually on Route 66 is unknown. And probably doubtful. When we purchased the light it was the standard yellow color. We've painted it a hammered brown color and fixed it to a steel pole which we attached to a rimmed tire. The pole and rim were painted a hammered copper color. We attached a steel route 66 decorative sign on the pole that matches the color of the light. We cut to fit a ceramic tile to the top and on that we placed a die0cast metal 1957 Chevrolet Corvette and a small metal route 66 decorative sign that sits inside a rock base. The sign is glued to the ... moretop, however the car is screwed into a base that is velcrowed onto the top. We chose to do that so the car can be removed and looked at if desired, as it has doors and trunk that opens. I then painted a few choice iconic spots along route 66. They begin at the bottom left hand side of the dome in Illinois and travel up the painted road the the top right hand some ending at California. From the bottom to the top there is'Funks Grove Pure Maple Sirup(which is how they spell it) the Gemini Giant at the Launching Pad restaurant, I also painted the famous record by Bobby Troup- Get Your Kicks On Route 66' It then goes over to'The Cozy Dog Drive-In' then'The Blue Whale' The Round Barn, the famous and popular'Cadillac Ranch' Wigwam Village' the'Jack Rabbit Trading Post' and ending at the infamous'Roy's Motel Cafe' where some of Hollywood's most recognizable stars frequented. It is now closed but is used for movie sets. We purchased a traffic light sequencer which makes it work like it would on the road. It has a speed control that can be set to slow or faster. Up for sale for your consideration we have a wonderful Stained Glass hanging Canopy Lamp. It could also be called a Domed Demilune. The shade is a Leaded Stain Glass Wall Sconce. It is mounted on a board and has a light underneath that was added to it in the last location it was displayed in. The lamp has some imperfections. Scattered broken cames and some loose segments. There are a few pieces of the Slag Glass that may have some small cracks. There is a top edge or back area that has misshaping and the slag glass is absent from that area. We have all the missing pieces in a bag. The lamp can be restored to fix these slight imperfections. There are many small pieces of glass that make up this great Antique design. The lamp is most likely a very old piece that was re mounted at some point on the board. It is rather hard to say as this type ... moreof stain glass work is done by an artisian and would take a huge amount of hours to replicate. The Canopy Lamp measures approx. ht. 24 1/2. Wd. 52 1/2, dp. 19 1/4 in. We would recommend a blanket mover for this piece to move it safely to your location. We have several to offer and can also list this piece on www.uship.com. Here is a beautiful 14' long TOM BLAKE HAWAIIAN SURFBOARD. A pintail paddleboard. We always saw the old sepia or black and white pictures of beach boys riding this board or one like it in Waikiki. When I first stood up on this board on a beautiful green wave and looked down, I was suddenly made aware I was actually in LIVING COLOR! It was a Wizard of Oz moment, like when Dorothy and Toto stepped out of their'flying in the tornado' house; they suddenly were thrust into the world of Technicolor! The first movie in color, ever! I hope to let someone else experience this unforgettable surfing moment for themselves, so I am offering it for sale. The builder or the date the board was actually built is unknown. But the board has been constructed with an expensive teak plywood skin over an internal frame per the plans Blake published ... morein the July 1933 Popular Mechanics magizine. The board was found in an old woodshed. In really good shape, but with the original varnish detoriated to flakes! After scraping the old finish off, I re-finished the board with a wood stain pattern that accents the Hawaiian Surfboard Decal in the true Art Deco pattern as originally created on the Deck. This board is All American, so I wanted to historically accurate with any graphics on the board. I had been saving the water slide Decal I happened to come across for more than 10 yrs hoping to find or build one of these"kook boxes" to ride. HUGE 13'X6' RESTAURANT BAR ARCHITECTURAL PUB STYLE HANGING STAINED GLASS CANOPY
HUGE 13'X6' RESTAURANT BAR HANGING STAINED GLASS CANOPY Up for sale is a HUGE 13'X6' RESTAURANT BAR HANGING STAINED GLASS CANOPY. This is truly an amazing item that will make your bar or restaurant the talk of the town! Limited history on this canopy is available– all we know is that it came from an English pub themed bar that closed within the last few years somewhere in the Midwest. The glass was estimated at around 50 years old but there is no real way to verify for sure. This is very large canopy that is broken down into several panels. The unit as a whole hangs from a ceiling from 5 welded in metal eye hooks. As you will see in some of the pictures there are cutoff ends of the aircraft cable they used to hang the canopy. The panels are curved but each piece of glass is a flat facet of the arc. Each panel is permanently ... moreenclosed in welded angle iron and connects to the next panel with three bolts on the sides. The corner pieces are two glass panels in one welded frame. As it sits there are two corner panels. Two straight panels in the center and one straight panel on each end off of the corner piece. Just to note there was no hardware that came with the unit but we simply used some smaller bolts and nuts to stage it for photos. We can supply what we used if you would like but you will probably want to use heavier duty hardware to hang it. As it sits the canopy is 160” across(13’4” corner to corner. 72” 6’ on the left from corner to end and 67” 5’7” on the right from corner to end. All measurements were taken along the bottom edge and the right and left is if you are facing the front of the panel like the view in the first few pictures. The end measurements are different because one of the four straight panels is 31” long instead of 36” When assembled the canopy is 2’ high and 2’ deep. Out of all of the stained glass. I am offering this rare Hot Sam Pretzel sign which we have had and stored in a smoke free environment for many years. Hot Sam Pretzel Company began in Southfield. Michigan in 1967. Hot Sam pretzel kiosks were generally found in malls and became a popular shoppers favorite. By the mid 1980's Hot Sam had 175 company stores located throughout the United States. Hot Sam was acquired by Mrs. Fields in 1995 and ultimately consolidated with Pretzel Time in 2005. Photos 1 and 5 show the front and back of the sign respectively. Photos 2 and 4 show the mounting holes. Photo 3 provides a close up view so that the nominal scratches can be seen. Scarce Size Ship's Wheel – Great Item For A Seafood Restaurant
DESCRIPTION: Scarce size ship's wheel. It would make a fantastic wall display in a seafood restaurant. It measures about 43 ½ inches in diameter from post tip to post tip and has a 6 ¾ inch hub diameter. The finish has some wear and there are one or two cracked segments. The center hub is hollow and the spokes are a bit loose in it. This is not really a functional ship's wheel but it provides a really nice maritime related motif for places like a seafood restaurant.
