At one point it had neon or led inside and most likely a transparent face that the light shone through. But it makes a good raw looking industrial piece as it is. The back even makes a pretty cool front as you can see in the 2nd picture. It's lightweight. made of aluminum, but very sturdy. It wear and imperfections that comes from being an actual used signage piece, but it could be painted inside and out, or left as-is. I'm using the postage calculator on this. And sometimes it charges too much for postage. If you win, expect to pay whatever it states in the auction, and after it's shipped I will try to catch it if there is a substantial difference. 21 INCH WOOD HAND PAINTED OYSTERS SIGN NAUTICAL MARITIME SEAFOOD (#S019)
This is a 21 inch wide X 3+1/2 inches tall wood sign. It has been hand painted onto 1+1/2 inch thick wood planks. Our signs are put onto salvaged beachcombed wood we find after winter and spring storms that have washed lumber and other wood debris onto the beaches. Background color is whatever the piece was painted when we found it. We did sand the edges to make sure there were no bad slivers or ruff spots and to give it that worn look. The newly cut ends have been sanded to give them a matching worn look like the rest of the wood sign. It is self standing so it will sit perfectly on that favorite shelf with no troubles. The wood is cracked. Warped and worn from salt water and sand blowing on it. You are bidding on this exact sign in the picture. RARE OLD METAL BURGERMEISTER BURGIE MOTION LIGHTED BEER SIGN BACK BAR EXC NR

All will start at my usual $9.99, with no reserve. This large, old Burgermeister motion sign is in very good working condition. I'm sure it is from the 40's or 50's, maybe even earlier. It is fairly heavy, with a metal case and a dimpled glass front, which is reverse hand painted with the Burgermeister name. There are no dents, separations, rust, or chips in the glass. I did not want to open it, for fear of causing some problem, but it appears to have a revolving sheet in front of the flourescent light, which creates a constant change of color. It has more color combinations than I have shown, but I can only use 12 pics. It was obviously sitting in a ... morebar for a long time, as I had to clean a ton of grime and smoke film off of it. It measures 24" long, 5-3/4" tall, and 7-1/4" deep, with a very old but functional 6 foot, 2 prong cord. It has four rubber feet on the bottom, for sitting on a flat surface, and also two slots on the back for hanging on a wall. The only marking on it is a sticker in the back, which reads in part, Liquid Flow, Co. San Mateo, Calif. I could find no information for this company on the net. Here. We have a Vintage Meadow Gold Lighted Advertising Sign circa 1950's. It has hooks on the top for a hanging mount and slots in the back for a wall mount. It is in great condition for it's age with a few scratches and one small split in the plastic face(see pictures 3 and 9 for the split) Th e face also has one long hairline crack that run s semi-diagonally from the"o" in Meadow through the"d" in Gold down to the"r" in Cream. But it is very hard to notice. I almost didn't catch it. I am fair ly certain of the date of cr eation as the sign makers label says Tel-a-Sign Chicago. 43( zip codes didn't come out until the 60's) and I saw a clock made by this com pan y on an a ntique clock website that stated it was made in 1950. Vintage Frostie Root Beer LIGHT UP clock with an image of Frostie! Rare version.
This is the only LIGHT UP clock of this style I have ever seen that has an image of Frostie. Ever. The back casing of the clock has some stress cracking that I reinforced with sandwiched aluminum plates. The plates at the rear nail hanging hole now allow the clock to be hung worry free. It’s not coming crashing down. There are some scattered scratches on the front clear cover. And two cracks on each side of the interior ad piece as pictured. Frostie’s picture and the wording are bright and unfaded. Looks great lit up by the circular fluorescent bulb or not. Kept good time running overnight and lights up immediately when plugged in. Unusual Miller Genuine Draft Beer Cash Register Sign Lighted Blade & Top
Vintage beer sign made to set on a cash register. It has a lighted blade section plus a lamp on a gooseneck type arm that would be used for things like checking ID. Base is about 10 inches by 4 inches. There is a large unused adhesive mounting pad on the bottom. Sign is in very good condition. Both lights are controlled by a single switch on the side. You have to press and hold the switch momentarily to start the flourescent bulb that lights up the blade section. These signs are fairly hard to find. Nice Miller Genuine Draft graphics on all black body. Bottom is stamped metal. Gooseneck is a flexible metal conduit with sleeving over it. Metal stamped base. Looks like it has a 1989 date. It has a blue tube and a red tube both are in working condition. It has a switch on the back on the side to turn the neon on and off but keeps the clock running. It has what I think is a Telecron movement it keeps great time and looks right for the clock. The face of the clock is by no means mint. It has plenty of patina on it. I think it adds to the look of the piece. But you look at the pictures and decide for yourself. I have seen these with three strips below it as a Menu or message board. This one doesn't have that. For a short time they were mounted on the wall but other than the holes drilled on the ends of the wooden plaque they are like NEW! These were CUSTOM handmade and are really beautiful- the red sign has red roses that have been airbrushed and dyed, and both of them are buckstitched with white leather. These were mounted on wooden plaques that were decorated with a'distressed' artist's finish of reddish stain with light gold on the edges for a really unique'Western' look.
