Plastic Pepsi logo has a crack down the middle buy doesn't affect its character too much at all. Hardly noticeable when lit or not lit. Pepsi Cola Sign. Lighted Restaurant Menu Board w/ Extra Letters. Circa 1978.
Travel back in time with this vintage Pepsi sign. It's a lighted restaurant menu board sign. Made in March 1978 by the American Sign& Advertising Services Company in Florence. Kentucky. Measures about 25-1/2" by 16-1/2" by about 4" deep. It has two brand new fluorescent light tube bulbs in it, as well as two brand new fluorescent starters, so it works great. There is a 2" hairline crack in the top horizontal plastic framing, see photo#3. That crack is almost invisible and doesn't affect it mechanically at all or cosmetically much. The clear plastic window on the front has some scratches and wear. It comes with three partial sheets of blue letters, if you'd like to change the message on the front. It came from an old Chinese restaurant near Cincinnati, Ohio. Ever since I first took the Pepsi Challenge 30 ... moreyears ago, I've known that Pepsi tastes better than Coke. THE DRIVE IN RESTAURANT BECAME ANOTHER RESTAURANT. THEN TORN DOWN. THIS IS TWO SIDED, WITH MENUS AND ALUMINUM SPEAKERS ON BOTH SIDES. MADE OF STAINLESS STEEL WITH A PLASTIC TOP. THE TOP IS ORIGINAL AND HAS HAD THE A&W SCRATCHED OFF IT. HAS A STAND THAT MAY BE ORIGINAL, DOES STAND ON ITS OWN. ORIGINALLY MOUNTED ON A POST. IM NOT SURE IF ANY OF IT WORKS IF IT HAD POWER TO IT. I am offering a working electric lighted sign frame with a removable panel currently advertising Air BP for British petroleum aviation fuel at the AirPort? It is 8'9" long by 42 inches high by 8 inches deep plus a couple inches for the sign protruding and raised lettering. The sign panel is replaceable.And is on a hinged door aluminum frame. It is an approved outdoor electric sign in working condition, and could be used as a frame for any business advertisement, menu board, or creative table top with glass? The sign panel size is 8' x 34" There are two vertical wall mount reinforcement bars on the back of the sign. It is recessed a bit and the sign seals flush to the wall when fastened from inside. The frame is aluminum, and is in like new condition but a little dusty from sitting in a warehouse. There is a scuff the left ... moreside end from the crate rubbing it. I have the front of the crate it is In for shipping. The sign panel is in excellent condition as well, with no cracks or chips. The frame is a sealed high end frame with rounded end caps.
