Wizzard II metal engraver model 1W201A Dahlgren wizard 2
This is a Dahlgren Wizzard II model 1W201A engraver. It is set up to engrave metal but also can be set up to engrave plastic with a cutting attachment. We do not have the cutting attachment for this engraver. The motor for the cutting attachment does work but the cord or belt that connects it to the attachment needs to be replaced. We used this machine to engrave plates for picture frames and for trophies. Everything is still working on the engraver but it does take about 20 min for the screen to warm up. Before the screen is warm. The image will bounce and make it hard to read but after it warms up the screen is fine. I attached pictures of the screen when it was first turned on to give you an idea of what I am describing. The last picture is the image being displayed through a projector(I did not have an extra TV to hook it to) via the ... moremonitor plug on the side. This image through the monitor plug does not bounce at all, even when first turned on. So the engraver could be hooked to a small TV for a larger display. The reason we are selling the unit is because we are getting out of the picture framing business. We will be selling more items from the business, just check other items for sale. Here is an approximately 120 peice(if we counted correctly) set of fancy script font bars. The bars measure 1.25" tall each-this is the distance from the top and bottom horizontal ends of each font peice. These fonts will work any any standard engraving machine. Based on some research we did. We believe these fonts are made by New Hermes, however we are not 100% sure. They look very close to a New Hermes set we found online, and they are high quality brass pieces. We would estimate the set is between 20 to 30 years old. Has NUMEROUS extras included in your bid. 20+ cutters(several diamond ones) three complete sets of brass letters and numbers in plastic cases(2 extra cases) 5 prep trays for letters. 3 whole boxes paper ream size of nameplates, metal holding plates for wallmount signs, whole box full of teakwood for nameplates or plaques, metal desktop nameplate holders, 3 26" slider plates, holders-keeps letters in place. As you can see I really don't know what to even call some of these items. I just know that Dad had a good business making nameplates for many businesses in the area. I kept these materials for several years but when I moved I just didnt have the room to set this up. There is NO rust on any part of the machine. There is a belt on the machine plus ... morean extra belt. The storage tray/box(attached to machine) is full of extras. There are numerous books of instructions for the machine and where parts can be purchased. I am wanting to sell the whole lot of items for one price, but you can ask about individual parts(in the paper ream boxes) and if I have them, I might sell individually. Can send photos of specific items if requested. The machine will come with all the parts described in the brochure, but there is over $300 just in cutters and letter holder plates. Or Perforator, to make indentations on paper so it's easier to tear. Someone else suggested that it's a Pounce Tool. Used in Sign Making to perforate patterns to transfer the design. New Hermes Engravograph Engraving Machine Model T+ Hermes Motor Jewelry Engraver
Here is a vintage. Circa 1980's-1990's'New Hermes' brand Engravograph(possibly Pantograph? model T engraving machine. Serial# on the machine is T25928. The motor is the matching New Hermes 1/8 hp motor. We know little about this machine-we were able to power up the motor. It needs a new belt but the motor runs and sounds good. This is a professional-grade engraving machine which our previous jeweler used to engrave wrist watches and jewelry with. We are currently listing the Hermes brand fonts that we used with this engraving machine in separate listings-we have script and art deco fonts as well as old English. We spent about an hour scrubbing and cleaning off the grime of this machine. And now it looks about as good as it's going to look unless you put in some more time to fully detail it. It has imperfection on it, such ... moreas chipping on the paint and powdercoat, but the functions work as they are supposed to. Give it a further cleaning and oil and grease it up and you've got yourself a great vintage engraving machine by a trusted brand that will continue to serve your needs for years to come.
