Kingsley AM-101 Hot Stamp Heat Foil Stamp Embossing Machine
This Kingsley hot foil stamping machine is a rare pneumatic and manual machine. It comes with everything including the foot trigger. Although I have an extensive background in machinery I have never used a foil stamping machine until I tested this one. I hooked it to a compressor and ran it. It heats up and I was able to stamp onto vinyl and leather and it seemed to work just fine. I really don’t know that much about this machine other than it works. I don’t know if it is performing as well as it was intended because I have no other machine to compare it to. It comes with a lot of extras type parts etc: See photo. Assortment of items used with a foil hot stamping machine. I had both Kingsley and Howard machines and sold them and found this cache of related items. About 100 rolls of foil. Many unused. Lots of colors. 3 boxes of type. One is labeled 12 pt Goudy. I don't know about the other two. I've tried to supply a closeup so you can see for yourself. One has a nice wooden box. The Goudy is in a sturdy plastic case and the third is plastic tray with cardboard top. All type is fairly well organized. The type holder is for a Howard machine but I think I used it on both. It has a wide open box which is good for monograms and large custom type and logos. There are a few pads, a box of spacers and some miscellaneous type. The price is worth it for the foil alone!

Engraved signs, rubber stamps etc. in the 1980s. Sadly, she did smoke. The hot stamping machine is a SLE Hot Printer 1000(from the late 1970s or early 80s) We tested it and it works fine. It heats to This is a heavy cast iron and chrome plated unit. It measures 13 3/4" x 8 3/4" across the base and 20 1/2" high over the handle. The upper jaws open to about 5 7/8" x 3 3/8" ... moreThe foundry type is all just as it came to us out of the estate and is unsorted. So we don't know what fonts. Sizes there are, or whether any of it is complete. Although we did see both script type pieces as well as blockier, more traditional type. There are also 16 rolls of colored film(9 colored and 7 metallic) The rolls are 3 1/2" wide and measure from about 1 11/16" to 2 1/4" in diameter with about 1 1/4" diameter cores. A few of these rolls are still factory sealed. These rolls all have shelf wear and soil from storage and as we said above. She did smoke. There are three steel letterpress typesetter frames that measure about 2 3/4" x 4" 2 3/8" x 2 7/8" and 4" 7" these are all inside dimensions) There are also a handful of lead type shims/ line spacers for use with the frames. The frames look to been made at home or in a small local shop. We don't know much about this machine and if you have questions. Please ask.
