This machine is made by Epilog. It is a 50 watt 2003 Legend 24EX. Manufactured in 2003 and purchased new straight from Epilog in 2004 We are its first owners and have been using it ever since. We used it primarily for cutting masking tape. CerMarking, engraving in wood and glass, and engraving in painted and powder coated sheet metal items. For the last few months, we had been using it to cut Kydex. This laser runs on a 32 bit operating system. The laser tube is still working perfectly. There are some patches of rust in the machine. But only cosmetic and on the surface. It's not structurally affected at all. It was oiled and sealed to prevent further spreading. The only reason this machine is listed under"not working" is because one month ago. The LED screen stopped working. I called Epilog and they told me that after 10 years, ... morethat happens. They quoted me $610.45 + shipping for a new one(the old one just has to be shipped back to them) Used working screens are about $400. There is nothing else wrong with it. We have always done a regular cleaning on this machine and have all the receipts for the last 2 years of work we've done to it. Nothing major. CO2 laser engraver - 15W
This CO2 Laser Marker is mechanically and electrically in good condition. New lenses and bearings were replaced last year. The only deficiency is the gradual loss of laser power from the 30W laser tube. Which has about 15W output, but that power is still quite effective. This is typical with CO2 tubs over time and it can be recharged for full power engraving. Those that understand the laser recognize that good focus is still what is required for good engraving. Versalaser VL200 Engraving Machine
We purchased this machine new in August 2006. It was used for about 18 months VERY lightly. We didnt engrave anything more than 3" X 3" and it was probably used 100-150 times. It was used exclusively for very small text engravings in plastic plates like you'd see on trophies. No metals. Woods, or other materials. Cosmetically the machine looks brand new. All of the moving parts and the optics are in new condition. Since then it has been in dry. Safe storage in the original box packaging- never touched for about 5 years. Unfortunately the laser tube does not last longer than a few years. The laser is no longer working- this was a 10 watt laser system. To get a replacement 10 watt laser bulb the cost is $800. If you want to upgrade this could be replaced by a 25 or 30 watt laser tube. The cost on this directly from ULS is around ... more$3.800 for the 25w. Keep this in mind on the price. You are bidding on a New Hermes egraver. We used this to in our business for several years and found it to work very well. These are very versitile in the types and sizes of materials they will engrave. It is easy to set your font style. Sizes, start location, etc. This can even engrave your text upside down or letters in reverse order. It is versitile and engraves most materials very quickly. If your application involves engraving harder materials or you need to make deeper cuts, this engraver can make several passes with each being deeper. This is all simple to set up simply by typing the depth of cut in the set up screen. This is in fair condition. It does work but is cosmetically not perfect. The plexi glass cover is cracked but functional. The unit has a new belt. Some adaptation of the vice may be needed for your particular application. ... moreI have and will include a plate which can go over the vise in order to provide a flat surface to engrave on. As far as I know all parts and accys are also available from New Hermes. You will need a monitor for this. We used an old TV but its too big and really not worth including.
