Although I have an ... moreextensive background in machinery I have never used a foil stamping machine until I tested this one. I hooked it to a compressor and ran it. It heats up and I was able to stamp onto vinyl and leather and it seemed to work just fine. I really don’t know that much about this machine other than it works. I don’t know if it is performing as well as it was intended because I have no other machine to compare it to. It comes with a lot of extras type parts etc: See photo. Here is a site that has a far better understanding of the machine, and I believe they sell parts. There is also a really helpful video on this machine here: http:www.youtube.com/watch?v=iS72sa2ICIk The guy who made it is in Vegas and he sometimes carries parts and can be very helpful with advice. Presenting a Kingsley Model M-50 hot stamp machine and one box of RMB 18ps. HOBO type set lettering. We are not at all familiar with the operation of this machine. Other than it was used, we believe, to make plaques for trophies. Did test the machine per the attached instructions. Unit did heat to 350 degrees, then using the dial thermostat on the left rear of the machine we were able to regulate the heat per the dial setting. Recommended heat range is between 240 and 270 depending on the material being stamped. Type set holder is still full of letters, so it appears the machine was in use, and then put aside in it's the setup condition for the last job. Box of typeset is not complete, but some of each letter is present, plus what is still in the type block. Also different punctuation pieces are in the box. This listing is for a vintage hot foil stamping/embossing machine. It is made by Kingsley. There is no model number on it but it looks just like the Model M-50 that I’ve seen here on eBay. I plugged it in. Turned it on and it started heating up. I moved the knob to high and it heated all the way up to 300. So it seems to be working just fine. It is in very good condition. I haven’t tried to clean or polish it up. But I know it would probably clean up like new. There are a lot of extras. Please look at the photos to see everything that comes with this machine. Works up to 6" wide and 2" high dies. This unit is the larger Goldsmith. Most of the older ones only work up to 1.5" dies. Dies can be undercut to do even larger impressions. This was used to print on plastic. Paper, and ribbons. Type holder is included. Used Air units go for over $1000.
