Frame, and ram are very well designed for durability for repetitive stamping. There is no foil advancing with a gold magic machine. It is performed by pulling the foil from the spool over your work manually. Also there is no spring return when you pull down the handle, you must manually return the handle back up. Though I think this is not a problem, because even with a spring you would have to hold it anyhow, as not to let the handle snap back. FROM AN ESTATE LIQUIDATION. Letter Press. Made by"Magic Press" in Tampa, Florida. Model 2SX. 3" X 7" Table-Top Hot Foil Stamp Machine. Does not include any type, only a repositionable jig on the stamping surface(see pictures) There is some surface rust on parts of the press, but much of it appears to be made of aluminum alloy. All I know about this press is what I've been able to find on the internet. I did plug it in& it warmed up. And the press action on it works smoothly, but it appears to have been in storage for quite awhile. Selling AS-IS; you need to know what you're doing if you buy this.
