Great piece of vintage memorabilia from from the 1950's or 60's. This is a silver colored metal name badge or pin from a Conoco service station. All the service station attendants had these on their shirt when waiting on you at the station. The pin is classic art deco design with The Conoco logo at the top. The badge is 2 1/4 inches long and 1 5/8 inch from top to bottom. The back has a simple c clasp for the pin. The top has W& N Co. Newark. N.J. at the top and-Hoag, Newark N.J. on the left side of the name plate. The original plastic covering for the name is still in the badge. The metal is not aluminum. It can't be bent at least by me. All the ribbons are creased but are a little frayed. The badge itself is in excellent condition. The other is a vintage brass name badge that says Crescent above the Masonic symbol. Vintage Atwater Kent Manufacturing Co name badge/plate
This Atwater Kent name badge was found using a metal detector and has a very slight crease or mark on it that could easily be fixed. The badge measures 11/2" x7/8" The Atwater Kent Manufacturing Co. Founded by inventor Arthur Atwater Kent in the early 1920s. Was for a time the largest radio manufacturer in the U.S. I have no idea what this may have been attached to. Please refer to the photos to judge the condition of the badge for yourself.

Believe it says W&H Co, which made a lot of metal items in the early part of the 20th Century. Can't find any other exact style of the PEP BOYS font used on these tags, and that combined with the early faces, we think this is from either 1920 or early 30s, but we don't know for sure. These have all the signs of age to them, and the plastic covering has scratches and there is dust and debris between the plastic and the paper tag underneath. These came from an estate that had collectible stuff dating back to the late 19th century, all owned and used by the gentleman who owned the home who very old when he passed.
