This item is in working condition per testing done as described: The unit heats up as designed. Took approx 15-18 minutes to reach 275deg. The temp control works as designed to control temp. Unit was tested with green print on white cardstock with the results as pictured. Foil roll stock advanced when lever was actuated. That was the extent testing completed. The unit has some marks and wear indications to be expected for this type item. All of the parts rotate and move smoothly. There do not appear to be any cracks or other major damage. The wood roll dowel on front does have a small split. I believe that the foil roll holder is designed to work with Howard brand foil rolls(1/2" shaft) and comes with spacers ... moreand end clips for different lengths. I bought this at auction, so I have no idea whether the entire alphabet is present and it is difficult to tell because it is in cursive. I also don't know what the gold Voyles are made of. And the gentleman that I bought it from said it works great and all you need to do is plug it in and hook a low pressure compressor to it and you are ready. Saying all that I am selling this item as is. I have no idea on how this machine operates, so I cant do a test on it, so please take that in consideration when bidding. It comes with lots of manuals and extras as I have pictured. It also has a dust cover. If you have any questions I will do my best to answer them. Vintage Kingsley M-50 hot foil stamping embossing maching. Seems to be in working condition. The type holder is missing but it does heat up as seen in the picture. The lever works and it seems to advance the roll. The knob is missing on the heat control but the shaft turns as at should and it adjusts the heat. A replacement knob should be available at any hardware store. There looks to be a pad that sits below the cardboard pad that may be missing. I acquired it about 7 years ago and used it occasionally to monogram and personalize items. This stamping machine was manufactured by the Gold Magic Company. In Tampa, Florida, which is still in business as RJZ Magic Systems. Located in Willow Hill, PA 17271. They still sell this model new from their factory. For $1,499.99. Replacement parts and upgrades are still available for this machine. This hot foil stamper uses a Robo Temp stepless temperature controller which is highly regarded in the industry. The type holder is a 1 1/2" x 3 1/2" chase. This is a solid aluminum fixture that is filled with type. Dies, emblems etc. The extra space is filled up with metal fillers and spacer and the whole typeface ... moreis then held in place by set screws which tighten the components from the sides of the type holder. The table. Frame, and ram are very well designed for durability for repetitive stamping. There is no foil advancing with a Gold Magic machine. It is performed by pulling the foil from the spool over your work manually. Most users install a simple spindle on the side of the table or the mounting bench. To hold their roll of foil. Also there is no spring return when you pull down the handle. On Gold Magic machines. You must manually return the handle. This usually isn't a problem because even with a spring you would have to hold it anyway. As not to let the handle snap back. This is a Kingsley hot gold foil stamping machine. From what information I've found this is one of the first models made. Also known as model M. WW2 era. Features 1 line printing about 3 inches long. This machine would have been great for bible imprinting. Cloth cord and does heat up when plugged in. Comes with red dust cover and in mint condition, machine itself appears to be in excellent shape as well. Comes with everything seen in pictures but does not have any letters with it. This machine turns on. Heats up. However it misses the handle. Comes with a roll of foil already attached to the machine. We got this unit at the local yard sale but never used it. It came with a handle but it got loose and eventually lost. We aren't sure how to operate it so we can't say it's fully operational. Only thing I know is that it turns on as the light indicator comes on once plugged, and it heats up. Therefore it's being sold as part or nonworking, and I am 80 percent sure that it works.
