Here's one of Vivitar nifty little gadgets in great condition for the photographer/artist looking to create unique images from peel-apart instant film. This Vivitar Instant Slide Printer uses a built-in flash and macro lens to project a 35mm film image onto instant pack film. There is a preview"light box" to help with framing. An exposure adjustment control, and a timer to measure development time. It runs on four C size batteries(not included) or a 6v supply(also not included) Condition is almost like new. Only some small stains on the plastic roller guides indicate it was used at all. The rollers are clean and corrosion free. We powered it up and found it functions perfectly(although we didn't put any film through it) It has been stored in its original box, and includes an accessory film guide and a spare bulb for the ... moreviewer. Scott's Emulsion Bottle - Iridescent - Aqua - Vintage - Hurricane Sandy
Scott's Emulsion Cod Liver Oil with Lime& Soda vintage bottle embossed with the man and fish trademark. 7-1/2" This bottle was found in the surf on the beach of one of the barrier islands off the coast of New Jersey. Where the north end of the beach of Sea Isle City meets that of the small town of Whale Beach, a few miles south of where the center of Hurricane Sandy first made landfall. The body of the aqua colored bottle is"frosted" from having been rolled and tossed on the ocean bottom sand- obviously for many years. The neck. Shoulders and bottom, however, are smooth and have a beautiful iridescence that varies in color and intensity depending on the lighting and background. Exactly how and when the bottle ended up in the ocean is impossible to tell. Although there is a slight possibility that it could have been ... moretossed from a ship or washed down from somewhere further up the coast such as Atlantic City. The area where it was found is one where past storms consumed whole neighborhoods, so it most likely came from a house that was destroyed by the waves in an earlier storm. Hurricanes passed close offshore in 1936 and 1944, washing some houses into the ocean at those times. In 1962 the"Ash Wednesday storm" while not full hurricane force, stalled over the area for three days, damaging or destroying 45,000 houses on the coast. Until that time, there were streets and two or three rows of houses in the area that today is the beach where this bottle was found, with that beach being totally washed over by water during very high tides and storm surges. In light of what took place in those past storms, that section of the New Jersey coast has been termed"the most dangerous" by geologists. So, it is very likely that this bottle was under water for over 50 years, and perhaps more than 75 years, surviving several hurricanes and major tropical storms, before it was found by a historical scholar searching the beach for far older items that might have been washed up or uncovered. This ad for Scott's Emulsion features a neat illustration of a hog scraper candlestick"burning up fat" Scott's Emulsion was cod-liver oil made easily digestible-not so easy getting it down! Neat ad print to go with a hogscraper candlestick collection(or singleton)nice bath decor. I do not have the actual date of this magazine ad print-it is the only one like it that I have seen. I am placing it 1900-1909 but it could possibly be earlier. There is text on the flipside that mentions the date 1885 in relation to lightning deaths. I do guarantee that this is not a reproduction or reprint of any kind. The page size is 6 1/2" x 9 3/4" It is in very good condition with very light creasing in the margin.
