Two long thin Japanese paper wall hangings! Marubutsu, look old, vintage?? 14 in
DESCRIPTION& CONDITION In this auction is a pair of gorgeous Japanese paper wall hangings! I found them while yardsale and estate sale hunting. They measure about 14 1/4 inches long by 2 3/8 inches wide and the one's paper wrapping has a price tag on it with MARUBUTSU(possibly Marubutsu Department Store) They look old. And if they were sold at the Marubutsu department store, then that means they're from at least 1977, if not before then, since the Marubutsu store was renamed that year. Please keep in mind though that I'm no historian or vintage/antiques expert(my knowledge is based on Wikipedia, haha) so take an extra close look at the photos and bid according to your own impressions and knowledge. They are in okay shape. They have some edgewear. Chipping/fading to the goldtone borders, slight creases/folds here and there, ... moreand some stains. Also, they've yellowed from age. The sleeves that they came in(half cardboard, half plastic sheet) have similar wear, as well as some serious tearing to the plastic sheets. The wall hangings would definitely be better off taken and reframed or laminated to preserve them. I can't vouch for their lives before me. But my home is smoke-free. I've tried to photograph them to the best of my abilities. So please take a close look at each one! They are part of the description. This is an FMA wall scroll imported from Japan. Rather a different style from most of the wall scrolls you see around. Measures 20 and 1/2" by 29 and 1/4" weighted on the bottom. I can't recall where I got it(I think a specialty shop) but it is unique and I have never seen it for sale anywhere else. There is even tiny text on the bottom that says"Not for Sale, so I think it must've been a display piece perhaps? It is in perfect, mint condition. Happy bidding! ^_^

Also of note is the glass stones surrounding the main square of elephants. I bought this in the mid-1990's in Mandalay and was told then it was over ten years old. I'm moving to Southeast Asia and so selling much of my personal collection. Original. Really rare, A5 Wall Hammer. Great big wall hammer designed. Made and used by John Middendorf. The hammer is in great shape and I would have no issues using it today. The only issue it does have is that it is missing the wedge at the top of the hammer. I've placed a ton of pins with it and no mushrooming at all. Brown ITT VTG TELEPHONE RECEIVER fits Western Electric 500 Desk or Wall Phones
Working vintage brown International Telephone and Telegraph receiver for Western Electric 500-series. ITT, or similar vintage telephones. Works with desk or wall phones. The components of this receiver were tested in a Western Electric model 500 desk phone. They worked well. Coiled cord extends to about 6 feet. This receiver predates the modular plug. It is hard wired. And the receiver cord ends in four color-coded spade lugs that screw down to appropriate terminals inside your telephone. A strain-resisting hook is crimped to the cord where it enters the phone. The baseplate of your phone probably has a slot for this hook.

Angem" The clock only runs for 20-30 seconds so it just might be in need of a cleaning. The bird pops out the door and chirps. So the bellows are in fine working order. The door doesn't completely shut after the chirp. The hour hand is broken, but I have a used set of minute and hour hands that I will include. The outside is in good condition, no damage to the wood. It measures approximately 9" inches tall, 7" inches across and 4 1/2" inches deep. There are two pinecone weights that also accompany this piece.
