older model CLARK WorkMaster industrial floor sander w/ 8" drum
From local business liquidation. This is an older model Clark WorkMaster industrial floor sander with 8" sander drum. Definitely one of the earlier models with wooden handle and screw-in type fuse. Probably the best quality ever made too. Simple operation with power switch mounted on the handle. Machine pivots front and back while the drum is always spinning. Press forward to make sanding contact wit the floor. I'm told it's a good working unit but I am unable to test it because of the configuration of the prongs on the plug end. The ID tag on the machine indicates 110 volt but I can't find any receptacles around the building that match it so I really don't know. Vintage Clark V-5 floor edger sander handheld electric floor sanding edger
Here is another relic! A Vintage Clarke V-5 floor sanding edger. From the 1950's. Yes it works! Is in pretty good shape though it has a few minor flaws as is to be expected in a piece of it's age. It has a broken piece on the top housing as you can see in the photos. The handles tend to slide off but am sure that could be remedied if it is intended to be used. The dust collector and bag are missing and still has the original electrical plug as you can see in the photos. The original instruction booklet has been preserved as well. Being sold AS IS. CLARK EC-8 floor sander machine ***will ship or local pickup ok
This is a Clark EC-8 floor sander. I have been using this machine to refinish the wood floors I install and other older floors that were refinished. I have a construction company here so this is what I do but not every day. I have owned this for around 15 years and probably have refinished 75.000 sq ft with it. I saved alot too by not having to rent a machine and use some kind of wierd sandpaper that's endless and only comes in only 3 different grits. I would carry at least 4 and sometimes 5 grits to perfect a customer's floors. One huge advantage of this machine is that you can cut your own sandpaper from a long roll and save alot of money. I would keep 36 grit thru 120 grit rolls and bring them to the job and cut then as I needed them. Last year the bearings went out and also developed alittle vibration so I ended up replacing the ... moredrum. Shaft and the 2 bearings supporting the shaft. The belts are in good condition as well as the armature and brushes. The bag is new also. Could use 2 new rear wheel bearings which are cheap and easy to install. Also the belt guard has a crack that could easily be welded up but it works so I never bothered. I would be very careful buying one of these machines because a new drum will cost you $400 and there are more to replace than this so be careful! I want to sell this and just want what I just put into it. $450. and you could come here and pick it up or you can pay me to ship it which could go in 3 packages by FEDEX for something like $125. depending on your location. I would work with you on this but would need the sander paid for within 48 hours of the sale. Ask any questions and I will try to answer them within the days end. Thankyou for looking.
