Vintage Porter Cable 564 Heavy Duty 4'x24" Belt Sander
Rare model. Weighs 14 lbs before packing. Motor runs strong and sounds good as do the bearings but apparently the handle was cracked as it looks like epoxy run around it at both ends where it meets the machine. Handle feels sound and snug with no wobble. Also the wiring is probably damaged where it enters the handle as it is taped there and it does show some age cracking at other spots. I'm thinking the handle cracked and the previous owner reinforced it before it became a major problem and unusable. It is an estate machine so know one to ask. I haven't needed it for a couple years now so hopefully someone else will be able to use it! It's been used well, but always taken care of. You can see in the photos that the side cover is missing(it's not essential for use. And not using one makes changing belts faster) but everything else is in great shape! Unfortunately my compressor is out of commission at the moment, so since I can't test this again.
