Vintage 6 X 48 Rockwell belt sander top cover reconditioned
Rockwell/ Delta top cover for 6 X 48 belt sander that I've reconditioned for you. I'm showing in one of the pictures what it's original condition was. If you are familiar with these. The belt always seems to wear into the cover on the left side(mainly) when it's not tracking correctly. I fixed the wear in it by using duraglass. This is made by USC and is an excellent compound for fixing things like this. Made from chopped fiberglass, and resin, this is much stronger than just bondo. I painted this in a gray industrial enamel(not spray can) It looks great, almost like new, comes with the top retaining handle which I forgot to take picture of. Thanks for looking. Vintage 6 X 48 Rockwell belt sander motor, transformer and magnetic switch
Rockwell/ Delta motor for 6 X 48 belt sander that is in excellent condition. Comes with original puller, low voltage transformer for the included magnetic starter switch and cover. The switch cover has the Rockwell name on it. This motor was checked out by Ricks Electric motor repair shop, he didn't have anything to fix on it, he's a friend of mine and said that it is working fine with no issues. I personally used this machine for a couple of years, I used it once in awhile, as I'm not a business but a personal hobby shop of mine, so I used it very little, and there was low hours on it before my using it. This Vintage Porter Cable Take About Model A-3 Locomotive sander is in great condition. The sander works well and runs smooth. I will note the cord is frayed some were it makes the turn into the housing but no wires are cut but I would still think about putting a new cord on it. This sander is in really nice shape and I only cleaned it a little and got it shinning so with a little more effort this unit would look really nice. This is an Excellent KALAMAZOO 6 X 48 Belt Sander Grinder This machine is USED, but is in GREAT WORKING Condition! The Rollers/ Drums spin nicely. And have NO end play. They haven't lost their shape either, and remain straight and true. The top roller is Steel. And spins on internal bearings. The bottom roller. Is heavy Aluminum. It is Direct Drive, with a flexible coupling connecting the motor to the sander. The table. And the platen have some wear; as one would expect with any used sander. Nothing excessive though, that would the functionality of the machine. The sander has the Complete guard. Which has integral 2" Dust Collection Port. shown in photo) The guard is in excellent shape, with 1 very sound repair. Originally. This machine was on Kalamazoo's Dust Collection Base. The base was a bit too massive for my shop and pretty ... moreheavy to move around. I put it on this I-beam stand instead. Very Sturdy. If you would prefer, though. I try to keep the cost down and do not charge a packaging fee. Some time back the host started charging a finale value fee on shipping. This means they collect a percentage of the shipping cost besides the standard item cost. On a smaller USPS Priority mail item the cost is really not effected, any difference I absorb as the seller. However on larger items shipped UPS Ground or trucking, I must add weight or adjust to reflect the percentage the host takes.
