I thought about putting it in my Garage or using it as a Medicine cabinet in my bathroom. Anyway it is approximately 16 3/4 X 31 5/8 X 2 1/2 inches on the outside trim. Lip is 2 1/2 inches deep. White inside box is approximately 12 1/4 X 27 3/4 inches by 7 1/2 deep. So the lip is 2 1/2 and the box is 7 1/2 that leaves 5 1/2 inches past the trim Lip. Vintage Pyrene Fire extinguisher Cabinet
This is a vintage 1930's Pyrene Fire Extinguisher cabinet with glass display front and Graphics as shown. Has the Pyrene logo on both sides and on the original glass. The unit is very clean with no dents or breaks in the glass. It can use a good cleaning as I just wiped the dust off of it. There is paint loss on the very top where most of the paint is gone down to bare metal but the rest is as shown in the pics. Interior also looks almost perfect but needs cleaning. I just got this out of"Whites Hardware" store in Greenport Long Island. The store is now closed and I purchased one of the 2nd floor storage rooms and found two of these buried in one of the closets. Vintage primitive hand-painted wood box - IN CASE OF FIRE - extinguisher cabinet
Here's an old painted wooden box(possibly an artillery box) re-engineered as a handy wall-mounted cabinet perfect for a small fire extinguisher. The box shows the patina(read"wear" for a useful and well-used item. But it opens and closes just fine. The allover exterior finish is aged blue-gray paint. The interior is unfinished raw wood. The front of the box has faded. Hand-painted flames and a"down" arrow. The worn hand lettering reads: In Case of FIRE The box measures about 6.5" wide x 19" high x 6.5" deep. And it's heavy-almost 6 pounds-so I've selected ground shipping. But I'm happy to ship an alternative method.
