Vintage Horn Rim Bifocal Safety Glasses - Bausch & Lomb
Here is a cool and very vintage pair of safety glasses produced many years ago by Bausch& Lomb. These have a bifocal prescription and the frames are in very nice shape despite their age. The bows are still pretty tight so it's conceivable a person could replace the old lenses with a new prescription. I don't know how to measure frame sizes but these eyeglasses have a good size width wise for me but very short bows for my unusually large head. Most glass frames have bows that are way too small for me. So this just means that they fit in with the 95% of frames that can't be made to fit my head. Looking at the frames from below at focusing on the lenses I can see that a little twisting has happened over the years in the nosepiece so that the two lenses are actually in somewhat different planes by a few degrees. Small enough to ... morego unnoticed by the casual observer and far enough to be annoying to the wearer. I'm clearing out clutter here and thought I'd give Ebay first crack at these rather than some less delightful method of cutting the clutter here. Vintage safety goggles/glasses with clear bifocal lenses in metal Bausch and Lomb box with extra set of lenses. Not sure what brand. The box is marked B&L Made in USA but I am not sure it is the Original Correct box since I can not find markings on goggles. Lenses have some tiny chips and frame shows aging. As shown in pictures. Machinist's Rose Colored Bifocal Safety Glasses Cool
Found these vintage glasses in a machinist's shop. I can only assume these are safety glasses. Although they are not marked as such? These have very appealing'rose colored' bifocal lens' in aviator-like frames. The frames show some tarnish. These glasses were used for work in the shop, but the lens are in pretty good shape.
