Thanks for looking at this 1964 Stainless Steel 2.5 Gallon Pressurized Water Fire Extinguisher from Grenadier. This has a large mouth fill opening more than twice the size of the average newer extinguishers. This is in great condition with no rust or damage. Just some scuffs from use. This has been emptied to save money on shipping. There are scuffs on the tank from use. Gauge has been tested and DOES NOT WORK although you can tell this is a very old model gauge. It disperses water just fine and can be pressurized up to 500 pounds. tested to 100 pounds) Hose is free of cracks or dryrotting, nozzle is intact. There is no writing on this tank. This extinguisher, for it's age, I would say it is in really good condition. There is residue from old labels. This is great for cold fire, race tracks, barns and makes for an awesome water battle ... moreon the lake! Shoots stream 30-50 feet. Just add 10 quarts of water and air and you are ready to go. This is a great extinguisher. Not intended for commercial use. A great bargain! This extinguisher is almost 1 pound heavier than today's units and just a little bit taller. Antique fire extinguisher water sprayer army color vintage rare "piss can"
I'm selling this old fire extinguisher antique. On the bottom of the extinguisher there are four letters AMER, witch I believe is an abbreviation for america, as in made in america I could be wrong. This is 1 of a kind and working condition the handle opens and after you pump the pressure up it sprays. I'm not sure the year it was made. It has a pressure gauge on the back side which I don't believe works anymore although it might I have not tested it. My friends believe it was used in the United States Army. But I am not certain of that. The pump pump up and down. This is made out of iron and weighs 26 pounds. The container is empty. There are several dents and dings I took a picture of the biggest one. They were called"piss cans"
