This safe was in the original box and appears never to have been used. The paint is complete with some age spotting that is not serious. The combination turns hard but works well. The alarm unit is complete but is not hooked up to ring. We show the unit and the bell in the pics. The combination is on the bottom of the safe and should be removed by the buyer. It is a metal savings bank with a coin drawer that pulls out and the unit weighs approximately 3 1/2lbs. It measures 7 x 6 x8 1/2" 19 pics shown. Retro in its applied color label/logo's design and intended/priors use. From the subject matter of said logo, it would appear that"Norton Pro" was a body shop and/or auto detailing and/or car wash establishment. Looks to be from the 1960's or 70's. Both of the aforementioned are my guesses/opinions only. I was unable to find any concrete information on the company. I see no other maker's mark(s) on the lock box/cabinet itself. It is made of sheet metal(steel) rivotted joints, painted white at exterior. Features a lockable front door that swings 180 degrees, 4) mounting holes at rear(mounting hardware NOT included) and(4) 10 slot rows for hanging ... morekeys and/or like-shaped objects. NOTE: As I found this piece, the lock was locked with the door shut and missing its key. I had my local locksmith pick gently pick it(she did so with ease) I have left the original, non-functioning cam installed and unlocked BUT have also included a BRAND NEW CAM LOCK by"Stock Locks" Compx" It is stainless steel, like the original and comes with 2 keys. I would gladly install it for you upon request, prior to shipment. On the whole. Antique Bank Safe Deposit Box Up for auction is an antique bank safe deposit/lock box. The decorative frame around the front is cast iron and the body is metal. Steel plate I think. It has a painted door with flowers and a geometric design. It has two inner compartments with a wooden divider. One section has a beautifully dovetailed drawer,which I believe is original, with a porcelain knob. This box measures 11 1/2" long, 5 5/8" wide and 6 1/4" high, and it weighs almost 6 pounds. This liquor decanter"safe" measures 16" x 6 3/8" along the felt-paddded bottom section and is about 13" to the top of the handle. And weighs about 68 ounces. It is well made of wood and brass, and the top portion will swing away when the key is turned and the lever underneath is pressed, and it will hold liquor bottles up to about 10 1/4" tall. The decanters are of course missing. There is a thin crack in the bottom section, and light wear with a few dings and scuffs. The holes are 4" in diameter. Bottles are not included. There are no markings. And I do not know if this is an old item or a recent item made to look old. I tested with a magnet and there are NO plated steel parts here. Antique Floor or Wall Safe with Herring& Company Lock and Original Stenciling. This is a very old wall or floor safe that was originally owned by my grandfather and possibly my great grandfather. It has a beautiful stenciling on the front which is original. The interior is lined with wood and has a felt lined wooden drawer with inlaid wood detail and an additional removable inlaid wood shelf with felt lining. This shelf has some damage in one corner(see last photo) The bottom portion of the wooden drawer is rough and has been painted silver. There is a false wood ceiling(i.e. It is not fixed and appears to be removable, however, I haven't figured out how to do this) I have the combination to the lock. Which turns easily and works. There is no brand indicated on the safe itself. However, on the interior door, the name Herring& ... moreCompany, New York is stamped on the ornate brass(or brass-like) box. I believe that this safe was intended to be a wall safe as it has no feet/rollers and. With the exception of the door, it has no ornamentation on the exterior sides or top. The side, top and bottom exterior surfaces have a fair amount of wear to the grey paint as pictured in the second to last photo. NOTE: the grey paint may or may not be original. The approximate measurements are: 12" wide x 12" deep x 16" tall. It is very heavy. Therefore, I am selling this item as local pick up only.
