Strong and sturdy They have pretty scalloped edges and delicate engravings Each piece is engraved with a flowering branch in the clutches of a beautiful bird's feet The hasp also bears the image of an eagle on the hinged latch The metal shows its age. Which is why I like them so much. They can give a new piece a little bit of history and a splash of old character. VINTAGE CARPENTER SEAMAN WOODEN TRUNK CHEST TOOL BOX- HASP w/ NO LOCK An antique wooden carpenters tool box measuring approximately 12" tall x 12" deep x 34-1/2" long. As you can see in the photos it was probably used on a regular basis. Both the top and bottom have been split with the top being repaired on the inside. There is a metal hasp but no lock. Each end has what appears to be a cast iron handle. There are semi-decorative metal corner braces. The box is put together. At least partially, with square nails which can be seen where a portion of the wood molding on the top has broken away over the years. The tool box has its' original finish except where it is worn away. FISHING TACKLE BOX (LEATHER) -GOAT ON HASP- 1920'S
This leather tackle box has a goat on the hasp and is in good shape. I had to replace the 2 shelves inside and the leather stap is replaced. Had to sew lid edge on each side to prevent lid from completely falling off. It comes with the tackle in it. It displays quite nicely and a fine collectable. It is 14" long x 8" wide x 7" high. Weighs 7lbs.
