Gamewell Black Alarm Panel This panel was tied into a gamewell fire alarm in an old 1940's bldg that was getting renovated. I haven't been able to find out much about it other than it's apparantly some kind of dual alarm panel. I'm not sure and am merely selling it as an antique. For Fire/security. Kind of cool old relic. 1924 Gamewell fire alarm call box w/ key (restored)
up for auction is this restored 1924 gamewell fire alarm call box. box#1451 is as correct as its going to get. it has the correct round site glass in the pull door& has all the original hardware restored. the box also has a cast iron finial that has been repainted in silver imron. exactly like the one in this auction 130808676337) we disassembled the box. Sandblasted it& repainted it in single stage PPG product. i we did not disassemble the the call mechanism as it works fine when actuated. the inner box still has the original finish on it. the clear plastic cover on the mechanism is a not cracked but has stress marks that make it appear cracked. otherwise its in decent original condition we have one key for it. the door lock works fine. the we restored& re-used all the original hardware when reassembling. the mechanism clicks ... moreoff ~1451~ when actuated. the ID plate is brass. there is NO reserve on this auction. the opening bid is all i'm looking to get out of this. one must consider my time. Antique GAMEWELL Fire Alarm Call Box Telegraph Station 1910s - EXC Original Cond
This is a Gamewell Fire Alarm Box that appears to be pretty complete and is in excellent original unrestored. It dates from approximately 1916 and measures 18" tall 13" wide and 7-1/2" deep. It came from the North Carolina area and was purchased by a fire chief when the city retired them decades ago. Ho moved here to Arizona and brought it with him and I got it in as-removed condition from him. The inner box had been taken out to unistall the unit so I have put it back inside. The mechanism inside the inner box winds up and runs and looks very clean. The inside glass is intact. There is also a telegraph key inside. There is 1brass plate included that clearly attaches to the front door marked"68" The other plate seen in the pictures is NOT included. There were some extra parts(screws. Bolts and nuts) inside the box ... moreas seen in the pictures. There is not a key to lock the box. Vintage GAMEWELL Fire Alarm Box sending mechanism working and in good shape
For your consideration is a very old or vintage Gamewell call box sending mechanism. Probably used in a fire call box. If yours is broken or missing here is a chance to get a perfectly working unit to spice your box up. Face plate has 5 wiring connector contacts and a 3-bolt mounting pattern. The 3 holes are 3/16" in diameter. The(2) holes on one side are 4 1/4" apart. The bottom hole is 9/16" from the lower edge. The single hole on the RH side is 2 11/16" from the lower edge. Entire black faceplate is 5 3/4" x 4 5/8" Depth of assembly is 3 1/4" not counting the handle or front nub. It's a mechanical marvel pulling the front lever and watching all the gears move and the top arm move as fast as a hummingbird up and down. The plexiglass cover is scratched up just a bit and there is a split in the gasket ... morebetween the PC and the front bezel or cover. In clearing out the attic of an estate we have come across some older fire memorabilia that will be posted up here on ebay. I believe the previous owner was a member of a Connecticut Fire House quite some time back. Information#s stamped inside the box: Gamewell Type M 2513 X22817 Condition: Looks to have been painted over. Some paint is chipping. Certainly looks to have been in use for a good number of years and could probably be more of a restoration project if the aged look is not appealing. For Sale: 1951 Style Gamewell Master Box#2228 Box is a four round box. Runs at a slower pace. The local energy device has not been tested. Box is in decent shape. But shows minor sign of being weathered. Inner mechanism has some rust on the hinges and the lock needs to be oiled. No cobwebs or bug stuff inside the box. Mostly dust if anything, but little at that. Door is in good shape. And the plastic is clean. Pictures describe the detail better than I can. It is missing the thumb part of the telegraph key. And the fire stickers have tears in them. Otherwise this is a good piece to add to your collection. Please note about shipping. I do my best to estimate the shipping cost. Here we have a Gamewell Excelsior time& date stamp. It is used and show signs of use and wear. It has been tested with 12 vdc@ 100 mA and all coils are good. The power was cycled off and on to simulate a clock signal and all the mechanisms function as they are supposed to. Turning the wheels and advancing the time. New Jersey) is an outdoor device used for notifying a fire department of a fire. Early boxes used the telegraph system and were the main method of calling the fire department to a neighborhood in the days before people had telephones. When the box is triggered. A spring-loaded wheel spins and taps out a signal onto the fire alarm telegraph wire, indicating the box number. The receiver at a fire station then can match the number to the neighborhood.

This is a refinished ADT Fire Alarm Box that functions as a lamp. I believe they were originally installed in the 1940’s. It has been cleaned. Stripped, bead blasted, primed and painted red. The lettering is done in white on the door and inside. The box measures about 5 inches x 6 ½ inches and about 5 inches deep. To the top of the socket measures about 12 inches. The small glass plate on the outer door is included. This allows the outer door to lock as it would when installed. A new. Replacement brass key is included to open the door with out breaking the glass. The inside lever is then exposed to activate the timer. When the lever is pushed down. The timer runs out a clicking noise. The inner door can be opened by removing the security screw with a screw driver. When the inner cover is opened. Here for your bidding consideration is a vintage Gamewell fire alarm call box. The outside of the box is still in very good shape overall. The paint does show its age from the weather and elements. The flip down door that covers the pull switch and the clear lens are in good shape. The internal teletype system is still there and functions very smoothly when you pull down the actuation knob. The box number is 1296, this corrosponds to the teletype system inside. The inside mechanism and the glass dome appear to be in very good shape. The door lock is busted, so I unscrewed it from the box and put it inside. New Gamewell door locks for this box are availible here on ebay, just do a search. This is a very heavy item, it weighs 20 pounds just by itself, after its all packed up it weighs 30 pounds with the box and packing material. Fire 1) ~ 1904 GAMEWELL 6" Brass Bell. Oak Fire Alarm Box, A++ A beautiful small sized oak box. With all the trim molding complete and virtually unmarred. The box is 16" tall, 9 1/2" wide and 4 1/2" deep. The brass bell is 6" in diameter and produces a rich sound. Appears to be complete, noting only the missing door lock. Even the glass window looks to be original, or at the very least, very, very old. The ringing mechanism features patent dates of May, 1891 and April, 1904 and it too looks to be complete. I have not tested it as I don't want to damage any electrical components. Please let the photos be your guide. On the inside of the door is stamped'108' and above the mechanism'21 OHMS' The case is solid with no visible cracks nor damage. Gamewell Weight-Sector and Gardiner Fire Alarm Box Mechanism Restored
Shown here are two Gamewell Fire Alarm Box mechanisms. The first is a circa 1916 Gardiner type Non-Interfering. This was considered a dangerous type mechanism because it would not send it's signal when it was in non-interfering mode. If the outer door was opened, the reset pin is removed from the armature plunger allowing the coil to open preventing the signal to be sent if another box was pulled at the same time.It's missing the hammer for the tap bell other than that it is very nice condition.The second is a 1880's Interfering Weight-Sector mechanism with the improved procerlain terminal block. unlike some of the earlier ones, this one was equipped with the tap bell for communications between the box and the fire house or office. Later versions of this movement were upgraded with non-interfering coils located at the top of the ... moremechanism. I do not have the glass for this one but they do come up on ebay time to time. This one has also been restored and is in very nice condition. Both of the movements operate mechanically. These mechanisms are getting harder to find e specially ones in good condition. I spent a lot of time restoring these. They are as good as I could get them. They are being sold AS IS.Any questions feel free to email me. Vintage Gamewell Co. Fire Alarm Call Box Still Functioning Teletype W/ Red Light
Gamewell Vintage Master Call Box This master box was removed from an old concrete building. The old fire alarm system was tested before it was removed and it still actually worked. This was the common gamewell fire alarm master call box of the time. There is not a key included in this auction. The tele-type switch is still fully functioning and the system stops on it's own till the next time it's tripped. Kind of a cool old antique. Aside from some sloppy painter painting it with a paint brush. It's in pretty decent shape especially for it's age. Vintage Gamewell Co. Fire Alarm Annunciator Box 16 Indicators
Gamewell Vintage Annunciator Box with 16 Indicators This annunciator was removed from an old concrete building. The wires were already pulled out by my shop guys(recycling vultures) so I'm not sure whether it was removed working or if it was abandoned. This was the common gamewell fire alarm annunciator box of the time. There is not a key included in this auction. Kind of a cool old antique. Aside from the exterior's heavy peeling the box is in fairly solid shape. I am selling this as is as far as working but am still offering returns if unsatisfied.
