Gamewell Vintage Pull Station 1924 Patent Date Dimensions. 10" x 8" x 7" This pull station was removed from an old concrete building. The old fire alarm system was tested before it was removed and it still actually worked. This was the common gamewell fire alarm pull station of the time. There is not a key included in this auction. The mercury switch is still fully functioning and the reset can be done by releasing the switch from the back. Kind of a cool old antique. Shown here is a 1916 Gamewell Fire Alarm Box with a Peerless non-interfering mechanism. This type of movement would go four revolutions when it was fully pulled and it would wind the main spring at the same time.Again this type of mechanism was considered kind of dangerous also because when in non-interfering mode it would operate mechanically buy not electrically if another box came onto the circuit. The sound of the box operating gave a false impression.It would have to be pulled a second time.This mechanism is operational although the tag and the code wheel do not match.It shouldn't be to hard to find a# 64 code wheel. The Gamewell FORD FACTORY Fire Alarm Call Box looks to be in good condition for its age and may have been repainted. The call box is made of cast aluminum and cast iron. The front door has Raised Embossed lettering in the metal. The white pull door on the front has been securred so as not to pull down. I have been told that this Telephone Telegraph Call Box was manufactured for the Ford Motor Company and would have been used in one of the early Ford Factories. Perhaps during production of the Ford Model T or Model A automobiles. Inside of the Ford Factory Call Box is an internal metal door. It has a Western Electric Handset and Activation Lever for the Telegraph Mechanism on the inner door. What a great antique fire alarm box. When you wind the black handle you can hear the"mechanicals" run. It you look inside it looks in good original condition.You will notice by just opening the bottom door you can operate a telegraph style key which is below the DC meter. The DC electrical meter is marked F.D.N.Y. The mechanicals" under the glass) are manufactured by a company called Brown in New York. The case is stamped Acme. Chicago. I tried to do some research on this model and could find almost no information, but maybe I was looking in the wrong places. They certainly don't appear on Ebay like the different Gamewell models do. The paint looks original. I did find a list of numbers for NY and the number 1030 was located at Kingston Ave at Lefferts Ave in Brooklyn, 11225. The paint could use a good cleaning. Has assorted wear consistent with the age of the item including paint loss. Flaking, scratches, blemishes, paint overspray from painting around it for years. All the mechanical gears. Gamewell Master Firebox with Three Pull Downs
This set of Gamewell Fire Alarms were taken out of a building many years ago when the business was upgrading. I do not know if they are in working condition but as you can see in the photos some still have their wires attached. The main box does not have a key so I cannot open to see what mechanicals are in there.There is a smaller piece in there that moves about but not small enough to get through the open holes. When I shined a light through the hole it appears that there are mechanicals in there but cannot tell so please take that into consideration when bidding. All of the boxes have age related wear.The larger box has more paint wear than the others. The two larger pull downs doors cannot go back back down which you can see in the photos. This is made from cast iron and has a hole throught the top and bottom for mounting on a pole. It measures 8" across the square body at the front and has a depth of 4 7/8" at the body. The width at the top curve is 9 3/8"and the depth is 5 5/8" The height is 13.5" at the back top center. The box has the following on the front: Reg. U.S.Pat. Off. For Fire break glass open door pull hook down and let go" At the bottom it also has"The Gamewell CO. New York" The small door on the front does not have glass on it. I do not know if it did originally or not. The box has the number"7" on the front and this matches the code wheel on the inside. Vintage Cast Iron GAMEWELL Utility Box w/Key~Fire Police Alarm
This is a great old cast iron box made in New York by The Gamewell Co. Not sure it was used for. No alarm equipment inside. One resistor type piece inside with a Rare Gas Arrester attached. It is a heavy cast iron box and comes with the original key. The latch on the door works great. Looks too have been painted a few times. Grinding marks on the front. Writing or something may have been ground off the center of the door. Measures about 13" tall, 9" wide, and 5" deep. It is straight and very good used condition.

Gamewell Fire Pull Station Newton Mass early 1920's 10 h x 8 w x5 d metal weighs 7.03 pounds Not in working condition. If item is working when you pull the lever you would hear the telegraph wires ticking inside. The door pulls down to press alarm. There is no key Produced and set up on town/city streets and large manufacturing plants. If you had a fire in your block you would go out and pull the lever. The telegraph would be sent to local officials notifying them of the location of the fire. This one was taken from a manufacturing plant in Tuscaloosa Al. If you are looking for a piece of firefighter history this is the one for you.
