Vintage WWII SAND FIRE EXTINGUISHER empty tube for tossing sand look!
WW2 era sand fire extinguisher. Probably about 70 years old. It is for scooping up sand and throwing on to flames. It even reads"to extinguish fires due to incendiary bombs. Also oil and gasoline fires" so this was more than likely used at an airfield in an island climate. Very cool piece of history. As for dimensions, the metal tube part is 2 feet long, the wood handle adds another 5 inches and the diameter is about 4 inches across. Don't let it get away!

Antique Fire Extinguisher Lamp from AC Rowe of New York
AC Rowe and Son Security Fire Extinguisher made into a lamp. No shade is incl uded. I will remove the lamp portion for shipping. The lamp shows normal tarnishing from age. I find that it is better to let the buyer finish antiques to their taste. Many great p ie ces have been ruined by misguided attempts to'restore' t hem.
