I removed the filler plug to get the last few drops out. This extinguisher was standard equipment on late 50’s Chris Craft boats and is marked Coast Guard approved. Vintage Antique Fyr Fyter Super Model A Brass Fire Extinguisher with Bracket
This is a vintage/antique brass Fyr-Fyter Co. fire extinguisher Super Model A manufactured in Dayton. Ohio. A-191290. Has the original metal bracket. 1-1/2 Qt. Classification B-2 C-2. Undwriters Laboratories, Inc. Patent numbers on the tag are 1185639, 1259002, 1340376, 1464001, 1512767, 1512830 and 2175120. The height is 17-3/4 in including the handle on top. It is 3" in diameter. The extinguisher with bracket weigh 4 pounds 10 ounces. It is empty. The paint is chipped off much of the outside bracket. There are scratches on the fire extinguisher and it definitely needs to be cleaned and polished. It appears to have been mounted at some point close to a welder. Undamaged condition and is still filled with its original dry powder extinguishing agent. These were originally used by railroads. Military Aircraft or Vehicle Fire Extinguisher Bracket - WWII or early 1950s era
Military Aircraft Fire Extinguisher Bracket One stamped steel military aircraft fire extinguisher bracket- no part numbers that I can see anywhere on it All steel construction with a stray piece of hardware and airplane skin still attached. Looks like it'd been removed from an airplane during scrapping. I have no idea what it was last fitted to. Probably WWII or early 1950s era- for the carbon tetrachloride type A-20 or similar fire bottles. Measures about 10.5" length with two sets of two drilled holes spaced 5" apart on the main beam. This one doesn't have a"catch" bracket for the upper handle end of a carbon tet fire bottle- just an open piece of metal with a body strap and handle assembly to keep the upper part of the bottle fast on the lower bowl. There's a piece of anti-chafe rubber riveted to the upper ... morepart of the bracket near the strap assembly and it appears there was a rubber"button" of sorts installed down in a little stand off near the bease of the unit. If there was a piece of rubber here. It's now missing. Looks as if this one had been from a Navy bird or USAF airframe as overhauled in the 1960s with the gray paint on it. A little surface rust on the enire bracket but nothing to compromise its use- it would clean up nicely in quick pass in a media blast cabinet. Rare Early 1900's FRX Fire Extinguisher With Bulldog On Label With Wall Bracket
For eBay: This is empty This is a Rare early 1900's FRX Chemical Fire Extinguisher. This is the only one I've ever seen like this. I looks like it made of nickel or chrome over brass. There are no dents or dings and the metal label is excellent. There are some scratches and there is a slightly discolored spot on the back that shows a little wear. It has a great label in excellent condition with a picture of a bulldog on it and says"Always On Guard" under the dog. The label also says to take the extinguisher out of its holder and point the nozzle at the fire and pull the lever. Manufactured by The F.R.X. Manfg. Co. Norwalk. Ohio, U.S.A. The label also says Patented Nov. 2, 1915. The top has a great gauge that has"F.R.X. MFG. CO. NORWALK OHIO" The pressure gauge window shows Empty-Refill-Full. You pull back on the ... morelever which pushes a rod that turns a valve at the bottom to open the nozzle for action. The lever an rod is very straight and works very smoothly On top by the gauge is what looks like an air fitting(to pressure the extinguisher) with a great metal screw on cap over it that has this inscription"UNIVERSAL VALVE B'KLYN NY. U.S.A. PAT. APRIL 30-07 AND JULY 9-07" The bracket is very unique to this extinguisher with its hook. Nozzle hole and lever holder. It is in excellent condition. The extinguisher is very shiny. Gold and Copper Colored Fire Extinguisher with Wall Bracket For your consideration is this unique Gold and Copper Colored Fire Extinguisher with Wall Bracket. This vintage extinguisher would make a wonderful display pice and would be an interesting addition to your fire and safety collection. Unlike many of the extinguishers on the market. This one is a very shiny gold color. The wall bracket was made for this model and fits it nicely. The top of the extinguisher unscrews and can be unassembled, the inside appears to be make of copper. The bottom is tapered, but will still stand upright if placed on a flat surface. Approximate size of the extinguisher without the wall bracket is: 17 inches from the base to top of handle, 11.25 inches around. A maker's mark can be seen on the lid. Vintage Fire Extinguisher Holder Bracket Brass American La France Engine 2.5 Gal is in good used shape. Heavy brass bracket measures 12 1/2" tall and is 7" in diameter to hold the extinguisher. Shows silver and some red paint from the past and one spot where the paint has been brushed off to show the brass. There are numbers on each part. 162, 163 and 164. The bracket latch functions fine and should work fine on an extinguisher. I bought this from a man that is rat roding a 1930's era American La France fire engine and this was mounted on it. Not sure of the age of this mount but its not new. Great piece for your collection.

Up for auction is a vintage original untouched brass construction'Fyr-Fyter' Super Model A Fire Extinguisher which comes complete w/ its original metal mounting bracket. This 100% original and extremely neat fire extinguisher manufactured by the'Fyr-Fyter Company out of Dayton. Ohio was recently removed from the basement of a residence which was built in the late 1920's. Based upon how and where this fire extinguisher was located, I believe that this was purchased and mounted sometime shortly after its original manufacturing date and has remained there untouched(until just recently removed) for at least the last 50 years. Although I cannot locate a manufacturing date stamped upon the same, I believe the same may have been manufactured sometime during the late 50's- early'60's. There is a serial numbered stamped ... moreon the same which reads as follows: M230066. If anyone out there can help pin point the manufacturing date based upon the serial number, I would be more than willing to update the item description with the same. Although the extinguisher needs a good cleaning and there is some minimal paint overspray on both the extinguisher itself as well as black metal mounting bracket, it is 100% complete and very very cool piece of vintage fire fighting equipment which is sure to be the center of discussion once polished and brought back to its original glory. Unique Vintage 7 1/2" Tall Brass Fire Extinguisher w/Wall Bracket
For your consideration is a unique vintage 7 1/2" brass fire extinguisher with wall bracket. The extinguisher measures approx. 7 1/2" tall and 1 5/8" in diameter. It has the remnants of the original label on one side but there's not enough to read what it says. The extinguisher appears to be approx. 3/4 full of some type of liquid. But I don't know what type. When the lever on top is turned the liquid discharges with quite a lot of power. It comes with a black metal wall bracket easily goes on and off the extinguisher. Up for bid this very nice vintage AutoFyrStop fire extinguisher glass grenade bomb with its original metal wall mount bracket. It has not its original dangerous product inside(carbon tetrachloride) cause it is forbidden to put in the mail and even forbidden to sell on e-bay. So. It is empty and still displays very well without danger to anyone. You can not empty this extinguisher without breaking the glass at the bottom part. If the grenade is intact, it is because it still contains carbon tetrachloride. The glass grenade measures about 10 1/2" and is in very great condition with a very great label almost intact. VTG ANTIQUE PYRENE BRASS HEAVY VEHICLE FIRE EXTINGUISHER W/BRACKET HOT ROD CAR
Up for your consideration is an old Pyrene Heavy Vehicle Type solid brass fire extinguisher with the original mounting bracket. It is product number 584559 and was manufactured approximately 1928- 1931. It has been cleaned and polished. While intentionally leaving a great patina. It measures 17.5" long. The has 1-1/2 quart capacity. But is currently empty. The pump rod has also been cleaned and moves freely. It has a couple of indentations as shown in the pictures. The original bracket has some rust. Scratches and paint, but easily could be sanded and spray painted. Rare Railroad Embossed Glass Fire Extinguisher Grenade Bottle w/Original Bracket
This auction is for a rare C. N-W. Ry. Chicago& North- Western Railway) circa. 1880- 1900 fire extinguisher grenade. The extinguisher is in very good condition. It measures approx. 18" in length by 2 1/2" in diameter. The embossed glass is clear and still contains its original dark blue contents( not carbon tet. There are small chips to the top of the lip. No cracks are present. The original cast iron wall brackets are included in the auction. A beautiful old piece that would make a nice addition to your Firefighting or Raiload collection.
