NOS bar end plugs with reflector, drop handlebar, from Rivendell Bicycle Works
Here's a pair of handlebar end plugs with built in reflectors. They are brand new. Never used or installed. These fit into the ends of drop handlebars. The rubberized plastic is still nice and supple, not dried out at all. I bought these around 10 years ago from Rivendell Bicycle Works, but it looks like they no longer sell them. I don't ride drop bars anymore, so will not be using these. Simply insert the plugs into the handlebars. The single-direction ridges are designed to prevent them from coming out. These ridges secure the plugs in the handlebar. It is important that plugs be put into the ends of handlebars. The plugs prevent the bars from taking a cylindrical section out of your leg in a crash. These fit drop bar handlebars only. Will also work on the versions of moustache handlebars that take road components. They won't ... morefit in flat mountain bike bars due to the slightly smaller diameter of those bars. A smart design. I recall Grant Petersen(owner of Rivendell) marveling at the clever design in his product description. The perfect place to have a reflector since your bars stick out and the ends face rearward. A great way to add reflectors with no weight penalty since all bars should be plugged anyway. There is an old drop line with string line and a vintage lure on it. There are(2) brass round stock type jigs that weigh about 11 oz. ea. There are(3) cast lead minnow jigs that weigh about 8 oz. ea. There's a strange lead lure with a hook. There are(3) various size lead sinkers with wierd line clips on them(one looks like it is marked"TOTEM" And a very old brass lure marked"lucky R" The green canvas"Roll-up" itself is a bit tattered.

Though unsigned it is obviously a Czechoslovakian piece with the distinct materials and design ... moremade by Czech artisans at that time. This piece is made of a hard silver metal that originally was gilded with brass or gold and which now has mostly worn off. You can still see the gilded area on the edges of the bezel settings where the stones are placed. And the stones! They are spectacular! Faceted elongated green glass stones which look as if they are back lit. They just seem to glow. The pendant resembles a shield and at the bottom of it there is a green glass dangle drop completing the design. This is a wonderful antique piece in very good antique condition. The green glass stones are gorgeous with just the tiniest of dark spots showing. This is very minimal and does not detract from the"glow" the stones show. Both the front and back metal of the pendant has lost most of the original gold gilding, and the back of the pendant shows some scratches. The spring ring clasp may be a replacement, it is slighter brighter than the antique gold color of the chain. But, maybe not, looks good with it.
