As you can see in the photos. It looks ready to be hooked up and made operational. I have not tested it. I wouldn't know where to begin) I found a photo illustrating the original wiring instructions for this model. I believe it can even be wound up and set for the interior bell to sound if the lever is pulled. I'm too chicken to try it, however, because I don't want to break it. If someone would like to contact me with instructions on how to test it, I would give it a go. The key and lock work perfectly. The paint is in very nice condition with only a few nicks and nacks. The back has many more scrapes from be mounted on a wall I would assume. On the top and bottom of the box are entry/exit holes for wiring. The previous owner has added a gold painted. Lead or similar metal firetruck as a decorative ornament. It has not been secured to the box. It just sits on top of the hole. The box is 17" tall without the firetruck and 21.5" with it. The roof is 12" wide, while the body is only 10" wide. It sticks out 6" from the wall. I weighs just over 26 pounds. KELLOGG FIRE ALARM BOX
OLD HEAVY RED COOL LOOKING ALARM/CALL BOX. I'm not sure what this started out as Fire/ police or what. But it is red and has a phone mounted inside. Also original looking decal/sticker inside door and a hole in the top where I think they mounted a red lamp. It is a great piece and would be cool as a phone in the patio or where ever? It's heavy(40 lbs) so it will be expensive to ship and local pick-up would be better. Dimensions are approx 13" Tall 8" Deep 10" wide with hindges. The case is obviously original but the inside looks like it was adapted to work with newer stuff. Although the phone handset and cradle looks original but the dial looks newer. I am not sure if this is a doorbell or some kind of an alarm bell. The bell measures 4 7/8" in diameter. The ringer works although I imagine that it had a crank instead of a doorknob originally. The bell is in good condition with some pitting and some plaster residue on it. I did not try to clean this piece. There is also a hole in the knob on th bell and I do not know if that is original or from wear or use. This would be a great period piece for someone restoring an old house. This beautiful bakelite alarm clock is a real charmer! It still works. Although it does have a crack on the side near the bottom, but it is not easy to see from the front of the clock. It also appears that the dial for the alarm set is missing. The face of the clock has some light green specks of some kind that seems as though it is on the inside of the face. Shown here is a French alarm clock in running condition with original case. I believe it to be a Bayard because of it's design and the lion on the dial which is its signature trade mark. However the name is not found so it cannot be guaranteed. Prior to 1930. Bayard was known as Duverdrey& Bloquel. So this clock was manufactured post 1930. Brass case has been polished too much and lost some of its finish. Dimensions are 2 3/4 x 2 1/2 inches. Outer case is worn and white satin is in pretty rough shape. Electric Alarm Clock by Westclox This 1930's art deco clock is identified by" Pittsfield" on the back. It is in good running condition and 100 percent original. The bakelite number ring. Dial, and hands are in very good shape. There are no cracks or dents. The brass trim and base are very good. The AC cord shows no sign of age. The only flaw is the back which could use repainting. Once repainted it would be suitable for the show case. It's one of the best seen on Ebay at an attractive opening bid. Look at the pictures and decide.
