The part that goes against the wall is apr. 5 3/8 inch in diameter. To the very front edge of the shade the light will extend out from the wall apr. 9 inches. The light accepts shades with a 2/4 inch fitter. There is areas of paint on the edge that was against the wall. The pictures should show the rest. Stunning example of art deco sconce lighting fixture by C M Hall Lamp Co. Company made carbide lamps at the the beginning of the 20th century. Some were for carriages and some were for bicycles. Probably auto too. But I have never seen one. Later they did get into some electrical. This piece is a wonderful example of the work they did coming into electrical. Sconce has the copper coating over the Aluminum(assuming) cast. Has a Plastic working twist knob to turn it on and off.
