this is an exquisite antique ornate brass oil burning lamp. it has exquisite detailing and marked alexandra brenner on the knob, the base underneath is made from cast iron to be weighted at the base. it has a nice burner on the top. And a large oil container, it measures 11 3/4 x 6 inches it is in good shape. the very top of the burner is a bit wavy. Glass and brass oil burning table lamp. it has a wonderful shaft and base of a pressed clear glass 3 dimensional dolphin. very ornate and a lot of detail especially for glass. it leads up to a gorgeous cut crystal oil container with nice sharp edges and has multiple flat sides. it is capped with a brass oil burner mount and has a peg burner that is not threaded it just sits inside the oil globe. it is in good shape and measures 14 3/4 by 5 1/2 inches. It is extremely ornate with an abundance of very intricate detailing throughout. the shaft is a hand painted colonial dressed boy with fiddle in hand ready to play. it has a very detailed cut out bronze base which is beautifully footed with stylized feet. the oil holder globe is very detailed and made from heavily embossed brass. the detailing is done with very high relief and has a tapering floral trim on the bottom. the globe holds a large high quality oil burner which holds a circular wick. the burner holds two shades. a clear glass chimney flute shade which sits in the arms of the burner to direct the heat upward. the larger shade is made from very thick frosted glass which is very ornate with heavily raised detailing. it sits on a three arm iron rest. ... morethe lamp measures 26 inches tall by 11 inches wide. in nice shape with a wonderful patina from age. very high quality. This is an exquisite high quality antique 19th century Victorian era oil burning lamp. it is a very large detailed lamp made from quality material. the base is made from a painted terra-cotta with a nice black gloss finish. the shaft is made from a ribbed brass with a wonderful patina from age. connected to the shaft is the extremely detailed iridescent glass oil globe. it has a nice stylized floral scene wrapping the side and is extremely raised. the iridescent finish leaves an abundance of rainbow colors. the burner is made from brass and is a wonderful dual burner, the large shade is equally as detailed and has a nice elongated design with a chimney flute shade set in the center. the oil lamp measures 28 3/4 inches tall by 7 1/2 inches wide. the lamp is in great working shape.
