Interesting 1965 World Champion Dodgers Team Photograph signed on reverse by team. Unknown if this is their own or a machine generated facsimile. Framed photograph includes"Maury Wills" autograph postcard(Mustache Stompers) on obverse and paper note"To Rick" Maury Wills" I did not attempt to remove photograph nor postcard and signed paper. But only the team photograph to illustrate their signatures. From the estate of local Pastor/Minister a huge Dodger fan who had made trips in the early and mid sixies to Dodger games and spring training. Blemish: portion of cardboard frame backing is missing and has lead to some fading of some signatures. Should be visible in photograph#2. Signatures still legible and easily read. No postal markings. Measures 7 1/2 x 9. A nice letter. BUT in plain English, in LOUSY condition- see the 4th scan in particular for overall condition. There are repairs made with archival tape(apparently recently) along a few folds with the only plus being they were made on the blank side of the sheet. The text is fairly easy to read though the damage obliterates about three words. SEE SCANS for text and condition. This would probably not be offered at all, but for the personages involved. The Rev. James Maury(1718-1769) was a leading minister in colonial Virginia. He attended the College of William and Mary, and was the chief figure in the famous Parson's Cause, a case that brought Patrick Henry into prominence. He(Maury) also taught Thomas Jefferson for two years after the death of Jefferson's father. The Rev. Jonathan Boucher(1738-1804) ... morealso kept a school, and taught John Parke Custis, stepson of George Washington. A few of Boucher's letters- he was an ardent Tory- to Washington have survived.
