Specifications The power sensor is specified for signals ranging from 0 dBm(1 mW) to +44 dBm(25W) for a frequency range from 10 MHz to 18 GHz. The high power levels can be accurately measured due to the combination of the power sensor with a precision wide band power attenuator. The calibration is valid for this particular combination and HP printed the serial number of the matching power ... moresensor on the attenuator. Many 8481B sensors have become separated from the attenuators but you can see in the pictures that that has not happened to this combination and this attenuator indeed belongs to this power sensor. The attenuator has a male N-connector for input and a female N-connector as output to the male N-connector of the power sensor.
