Fluke 97 scopemeter Not Working This unit stopped turning on suddenly. I do not have the time to perform repairs. I did some research and found its power Suppy is the problem. When the charger is connected and the battery is charged. Press the power button and you can hear a very quiet whine of a capacitor charging up. As far as I understand there is a flyback converter or simmiler circuit used to generate a 12 volt source from the 6 volt battery. The capacitors fail and it quits functioning. Anyway. Unit is NOT equiped with Option 09(AC Measurement) so no AC readings can be taken with this meter. Original Fluke calibration stickers are intact and unbroken. VFD is bright and all segments work. Physical condition is good, with some marks, scuffs, dirt, and sticker residue. There is a small chip in the bottom left corner of the display but does not impact operation or visibility(see pic) Handle is intact and works, but is a little loose on the unit as is very common on these meters.
