Attention Historians and World War II Collectors! US Navy Tea Spoon From Battleship USS Pennsylvania Here is a terrific piece of WWII that would be a fantastic addition to a collection! You are bidding on a US Navy tea spoon from WWII. I acquired a number of utensils at an estate sale. I talked to the elderly gentleman who had the sale. He told me that he served on the USS Pennsylvania during World War II. The battleship was damaged during the attack on Pearl Harbor but it was repaired and returned to service in August. 1942 and saw extensive action in WWII. He told me that he"liberated" the utensils from the ship at the end of the war, which was a very common practice by the sailors. The spoon measures approximately 7 1/4" in length. I have no way to verify if what the elderly gentleman told me is true. But I have no reason ... moreto doubt him especially since he told me the story after I bought the silverware and not before. Some research on the spoon indicates that is from a design called the"King's Pattern" and was used by officers. On the front of the spoon is an engraved fouled anchor. On the back is the abbreviation U.S.N. and the maker name. International Silver Co. though most of the maker name is worn off. My camera is not very good at close-up shots, but the spoon is in very good condition. It was very tarnished when I bought it. I polished it and it looks very nice! Own a piece of WWII history! A psychotic roommate of mine smashed it against the side of a table repeatedly during a hissy fit. And ruined my $1000 work horse of a machine. My dad is a computer engineer, and tried to rehab this machine for me. He was able to do something with the hard drive long enough for me to pull my files, but that is all. I remember being told that the battery was damaged, and that the battery components in the machine were damaged. Both memory sticks were cracked. The machine itself is slightly arched. There are connectors sticking out of the USB ports, so I would guess that my dad stripped the memory cards and hard drive from the shell. I am not positive, and I don't want to open it. Slightly Water Damaged Macbook Pro
This is my old Macbook Pro that I accidentally spilled coffee on a few years ago. And haven't done much with it since. I had been using it for about a year after I spilled on it(the only thing affected was the lower half of the keyboard) and it worked just fine with a usb keyboard plugged in. It had a few minor issues though. If you closed it, it would turn off, and sometimes it would only right click, so I would have to unplug the usb keyboard and plug it back in until it was normal again. Eventually, this just became annoying, so I bought a new one. Technically. This computer is liquid damaged to the point where Apple would charge a lot to fix it, but it had worked for me for a while after. Like I said. It's finicky, so I can't guarantee that it'll work for you, but I just want to make it known that the liquid damage isn't ... morethe absolute worst. There's also a small dent on the top. Which you can see in the picture, but it doesn't affect the screen at all. Also. One of the rubber"feet" on the bottom of it is gone. Sterling Silver Enameled Spoon David Andersen of Norway Gilted and enameled. The spoon is damaged. It appears that some of the enamel was removed from the front section of the handle. The back of the bowl also has some of the enamel removed. The spoon is 4 and 1/4 inches in length. No return on this item.
