The stamping on the inside of the front pad is tough to make out but I believe it is Showa 15(1940) The helmet is stamped/painted as a size small and has the Kobe Seiko manufacturers stamp on the rear skirt. The helmet has battle damage to the rear right of the helmet. It almost looks like the projectile grazed the inside of the rim and exited toward the rear but these things are hard to judge. The staining on the liner would indicate that the original owner was at least wounded by the impact. A great looking veteran bringback war trophy from the Pacific Theater of War. This item is an old ca. 1877. Gorham sterling silver name engraved napkin ring, with the ring in very dented and creased condition. Napkin ring is creased and dented in several places, but perhaps could be repaired, as we know that some silver people do that sort of work. Condition is exactly as pictured and described in listing. Engraved name reads'From Lettie, Dec. 25th, 1877' and the monogramed initials read'T.R.P. as best we can make out. The ring stands 1-1/4 inches tall, measures 1-3/4 inch wide, and it weighs 0.66 troy ounce, or 20.6 grams, on our jewelry scale. Ring is marked with the old Gorham mark that reads, Lion Anchor G, Sterling, 730, J' and we are guessing the'J' impressed stamp was the mark of the engraver. The cutter cartridge was flipped upside down and out of it's track. And I tried to reposition it for the photos. The clear plastic paper clamp strip is loose and is easily removed. I do not detect any cracks or damage to the actual deck or working surface, but the end caps and the plastic housings that hold the metal bar in place are damaged. One of the little plastic magnets on the plastic backstop piece is also loose and needs to be reglued. The cutter blade seems to move freeley. I placed a piece of copier paper in the unit and tried a test cut and although the blade left a score line it did not cleanly cut the paper. However. Please take note of the following details. It is broken and I don't know what is the problem. When switched on using batteries. The power usually comes on and can be used for some minutes. The sounds produced sound tinny and are distorted. It will then cut out and stop playing. It is also missing its adapter and original box and case. However. The actual drum machine is not missing any parts and is in quite good condition except for regular playing wear. The battery compartment is clean with no battery corrosion.
