This amp was used to amplify Verizon LTE signal thru my house. I have an antenna on the roof and one in the house. The antenna on the roof gets the signal from the wireless tower and one in the house the communicates with your phone. I was not able to get signal at my house but with the use of this Amp I was able to have very good signal even in the basement. There are indicators for DC power, RF power, High VSWR, and High temperature. It requires a 13.8vdc power supply at 40 amps. We tested the unit at 46mhz and with 7 watts input, it had 210 watts output. I am sure that it would tune to 6 meter ham radio. It comes with everything shown in the pictures. This Item is a Class C Power Amplifier and heat sink removed from a 110 watt 42-50mhz commercial FM two-way radio. I have tested the radios at up to 54mhz. Which is the top end of the 6 meter Ham band, and they worked at full power with out being modified. The specs on the amplifier goes to 125 watts in the manual. The input power to the board is listed as being 1 to 2.5 watts for full power output. We tested one and with 1 watt input we measured 119 watts output at 49.5mhz. With 2.5 watts we measured 167 watts. I would not want to run it at that level because of the heat. A CD with a PDF of the service manual of the radio will be provided. It has the schematic and parts list. The amp needs 12 to 15 volts DC at some where over 15 amps for full power. Which, by the way, you might need a fan on it to run full power. I left the metering cable ... moreon the amp. It is not needed for operation, but can be used for testing. Some of the pictures shown are of the board removed from the heat sink. Which the board and the parts on it could be used for building or repairing any kind of RF power amplifier. The heat sink measures 10 inches wide by 6 inches deep by 2 inches tall. This is a solid state in-line amplifier designed to boost the signal from satellite dishes to overcome the loss of long cables. it is specified over a bandwidth of 950 to 2150 MHz with 13 dB of gain. There are two coaxial connectors as the only connections. One goes to the LNB on the satellite dish and the other to the satellite receiver. It has a 12 volt DC powerpass to provide power for the amplifier circuitry. I am the original owner. I purchased this device to try and boost the signal from my Dish Network LNB for less rain fade. Broadband 40 to 55 MHZ Power Amplifier Kit 120 watts
This item is a kit for a high power broadband amplifier. It consists of a power amplifier removed from a Motorola 110 watt 42-50mhz FM radio along with the parts needed to make a rack mounted amplifier. The pictures show what the unit looks like completed and also apart. There is just a little assembly required. You will need a screw driver. Long nose pliers, and a pair of regular pliers. After you have it put together, you will need 13.8vdc at 20 amps. Then you will have an amplifier that will put out well over 100 watts with 1 to 2 watts of drive from 40 mhz to 55 mhz. We tested one at 50 mhz. With 1 watt input it had 119 watts output. With 2 watts drive it had 167 watts output. I really would not run it much more than 120 watts. But if you put a good fan on it and keep it cool. Then run it where you want. Rack Mounted Broadband 40-54 MHZ Power Amplifier 150W
This item is a used high power rf amplifier. It is in a rack mounted case which measures 19 inches wide. 7 inches tall, and 6 inches deep. On the front it has the name VoCom Products Company. But the product label on the heat sink says Crescend Technologies. The model number is VVLC150-50RF. Which would seem to make it a 150 watt amplifier and likely at up to 50mhz. The label says that the factory test was 100 watts output at 45.22mhz with 40 watts input. We tested the unit at 49mhz and the output was 100 watts with 49 watts input. The fan and the LED on the front come on automatically with input power. The unit does not have any tuning, so I am sure that it is broadband. As this is in the 42-50mhz band, I believe that it will work the entire band at 150 watts output power. The transistors are a pair of SD1405.
