I am(with some sadness) selling my Motorola SGTF1040A amplifier. Which is capable of up to 150 watts on 900 MHz. The cool thing about this particular amplifier is that it can put out more than 100 watts with as little as 50 mW of drive. This runs off 24-26 VDC. I had intended to get this amplifier up and going as part of a serious base station with power on 900 MHz. But in the end my own UHF operation is now geared toward roving. So I hope you will find a great place for it in your own UHF line-up. I'll ship it for free. Please check out my other listings and thanks for looking. I'll include all of the modification information that I have gleaned off of the Internet. AA9IL says this about these amplifiers: This amp uses a two stage preamp and a tuned input. Will cover a wide range. The drive required is as low as 50 mW for 100+W output. ... moreI tried this amp with 5W drive for a short time. With 150W output, with nothing smoking. Power supply required is approx. 26VDC@ 15A. These class AB linear amplifiers were made by Motorola for use in the 800 MHz cellular band. They will also work very well in the 900 MHz band with some minor limitations. The amplifier board typical for most of the units listed here is a MRF897 driver and a MRF899 final. The MRF899 final transistors are rated for 150W PEP. Approximately 4-7W drive will be needed for full output. The SGTF1021B and SGTF1040 have additional driver stages. And can be driven with miliwatts. Their original application used only a fraction of the power available. Full output is typically achieved up to 910 MHz. Going higher in frequency the output starts to drop. Due to the circulators or isolators used. Results vary quite a bit between the same type units. The isolators are not easy to remove. Some minor tuning can be accomplished with a magnet. The transistors are rated up to 960 MHz.

Mini-Circuits ZHL-2-50P3 Feedforward Amplifier. Used Qty 1 with Data This is a Great Unit to use for learning basic Feedforward broadband circuit design because of its simplicity. Also an excellent Lab amplifier to use for amplifying CATV multi-tone signals from test generators and receivers. The ZHL-2-50P3 Amplifier is specified over the 50 to 1000 MHz frequency band and provides a flat gain of 24 dB typical. The unit uses a feedforward design to provide good cancellation of higher order intermodulation products when amplifying multitone frequencies up to a composite of +15 to +18 dBm output power. Two tone third order intercept is specified from mfg at +43 dBm and second order at +63 dBm. The 1 dB compression point is typ greater than +25 dBm. Hello! This is a museum piece! I got this from a flea market years ago and it had a Civil Defense decal on it! I repainted it. The manufacture's name is not on outside. I used this amp for a long time. But my radio days have slowed down and now it's time to clear the shack. The unit comes with 826 tubes which were working, but I am listing a little collection elsewhere, if you want to have some spares. If you miss the days of watching tubes glow, this unit is for you. There is even a viewing window to keep your eyes on the tubes. There is also a little solid state switch which W2GKR helped me build so I could connect this to my ICOM 260 transceiver. Cosmetic only- crack in back top left plastic corner, tolex peeling in back seam/corner from taking the back panel off, some minor scratches on the back panel, small indent in the back top right by the plastic corner, about width of a pencil. small bit of pitting/rust on a couple of the top screws. included 4-channel foot switch& cable is actually made for the haze 40 but works on the 15 except there is no top boost so that button does nothing. nice shape with a bit of play wear but nothing too beat up. pretty sure it is still has the original marshall ... morered 12ax7 tubes.
