The 3 different models we offer are all exact mimics in design, basically they are just scaled to different sizes. The 4x4 is basically a 4ft wide 4ft deep by 6ft tall unit. The firebox is insulated on the bottom with 1.5” thick concrete and contains(4) 6x4” vents on each side of the firebox for ample inlet flow. In between the firebox and main chamber is a 2” thick insulated plate to shield the bottom racks of the smoker from excess heat radiating from the firebox underneath. The heat and smoke are transferred into the main chamber via 4 inlets. Two inlets are set low in the smoker and 2 inlets are set midway up from the bottom of the main chamber. This allows for even heat distribution within the main chamber. The main chamber consists of 5 slide out racks measuring 40” by 46.5" giving you around 64 sq feet of cooking surface which is quite a bit of room considering the footprint of the smoker. This allows for even heat distribution within the main chamber. The main chamber consists of 5 slide out racks measuring 30” by 34.5 giving you around 36 sq feet of cooking surface which is quite a bit of room considering the footprint of the smoker. Custom mobile bbq smoker
Before I get going. These are the only photos I have right now, and I'm not in town to take some without me in them, so bear with me. Otherwise, here is my custom built bbq smoker. It's made out of 1/4" diamond plate steel, which rides on 3/4 ton leafsprings and Hoosier sprint dirk track tires. The axle is off of a Model A Ford with new races and bearings. The fire box measures 2' x 2' and is equiped with a rosebud burner for easy lighting, and a chance at sleep on overnight cooks. The smoke box measures 5' x 3' x 3.5' has six shelves(with room for more! heat proof handles, and a bottle opener. Two 4' tall, 4" diameter semi smoke stacks complete the deal, and are easily removed for travel. Wait, I also have two highway tires that come with it, brand new. Bought this a couple years ago and really have only used it maybe 3 times. Just not enough time as I am always on the run or working. Etc! It is a Pitmaker, custom built in Texas, competition smoker and if you look it up you can see what they are all about. Built in Texas and I did the stainless upgrade which near doubles the price. Everything is stainless, including the fire pan underneath, all interior and exterior surfaces, the cooking grates all 4 of them, and the cart that is built around it. No rust no dust! Power wash it with no fears. I properly cleaned and seasoned when I got it. That is the light smoke you see on the interior. Not grease etc! It is ready to cook! The few times I did use it I only used 2 of the grates. The other two are shiny bright. Again you can power wash this unit inside and out if you ever want a good cleaning. ... moreYou may also find this unit on Youtube if you do a search. Seamless welded and the very best out there! The stainless option doubles the price of everything and the stainless grates and fire pan are expensive upgrade. I believe around $600.00. New and shipped it would cost near $7500.00. And I as well am throwing in the BBQ Guru with the Viper fan unit and everything to set it and forget it. Basically you dial in the temp on the Guru and the fan keeps the temp to what you want. One probe goes in the meat and the other is clamped onto a grate inside the unit. It than monitors the meat and the inside unit temp and keeps everything where you program it. Even without the Guru, it will hover right around 225 to 250 degrees and uses very little fuel. That depending on how you adjust the slider air intake on the side of the unit. If you feed it more air the temperature goes up. This is a very fuel efficient unit. You can use lump charcoal, wood, briquettes, etc. The bottom of the top chamber catches all grease and can run it out the valve area on the left side into the bucket or you can attach a hose to it. I have a smoker built on a small trailer that was modeled after a Lang 36" It has a 2 ft X 2ft X 2ft heavy duty firebox and an extra heavy fire grate. The large firebox allows you to cook at 225 deg. for hours with minimal wood.It also has a warmer cabinet with adjustable baffle to turn smoke on or off in the warmer. The cooking chamber has a top pull out rack and all of the cooking area grates can be removed. The front shelf can be taken off and turned around to make it more accessible. Wood can be stored beneath the cooking chamber. I recently had it sand blasted and painted with Sherwin Williams hight temp paint. It is only a year old. J&R 250RFS wood burning smoker manufactured in Mesquite Texas in 2006. This unit was used in a bbq restaurant until the fall of 2012 when we upgraded to a larger unit. This unit works well and was able to keep up with the daily demands of the restaurant and catering until we added a second location. J&R smokers produce an excellent product with little effort. Unit is currently set up and could be cooked on if interested. We kept it as a backup unit but have just not needed it for a year now so its time to sell. Used propane pig cooker. Little rough but gets the job done. Selling as is. Drum measures 48"s across and 31"s tall. Old homemade cooker and well used. Works good. Pulls good. Has some issues. Tires show drying on the sides but have good tread and hold air good. Some holes are burned through in the bottom of the drum, see pics. Might want to support the grate if you put anything real heavy on it, cooking grate sags a little. 1 7/8" ball. 5 lug 14"s tires. Not sure what type rims, about 4 1/2"s between center to center lug nuts. If you add another grate in the bottom it could be used with charcoal as well. Local pickup only. No shipping or delivery.
