Steve Bench RIAA5 phono pre DIY project, unfinished
Up for auction is an unfinished DIY phono preamp project based on Steve Bench's RIAA5 design. It's being sold as parts in nonworking condition. The build follows Steve's schematic pretty closely. But with an extra 6SN7 gain stage at the output in order to interface with my studio gear better. I had it working briefly, but I had poor isolation in my power supply so I had hum issues. Otherwise, it sounded fantastic. I started rebuilding the power supply with better isolation, but never finished. What you see is what you get. This is for parts, or for an experienced builder to finish it. Unfortunately, I can't offer any support for finishing the project.

Bausch & Lomb Anamorphic Projector Lens Front and Rear Elements for DIY project
This auction is for the front and rear elements of a Bausch and Lomb Anamorphic projector lens. You can use these two elements on some sort of rail system to create an Anamorphic adapter for video use. Which is what I used them for. When properly setup, the adapter gives an incredibly sharp image even when your taking lens is wide open, and it easily produces lovely blue horizontal lens flares. These elements came from a lens that is 50+ years old so they are not in perfect condition. The rear element has a few spots and cleaning marks and the front element has a few microscopic marks in it as well. However. That being said, the image quality is not affected by this and still produces a great, sharp image. Being sold as-is.

here is a Rolleicord that was recovered from a fire. i've taken parts off but remains a perspective project i will never finish as a pinhole camera. i've never taken the sides off; the controls move easily. from the condition of the red felt shutter seal. Claricon Model 6BM8 Tube Amp Working Nice DIY Guitar or Harp Conversion Project
Very nice vintage all tube point-to-point wired Clarion“Public Address Amplifier” that is an ideal platform for conversion into one sweet guitar amp. In really good condition. Very clean, plus it powers up and plays right now. This Claricon model 44-100 is powered by a pair of 6BM8 power tubes, same tube found in such classic guitar amps as the Gibson GA-8T, some Fender Musicmaster amps, and the Univox U-45B, to name a few. Circuitry appears to be totally unmolested factory original and the clean layout will make it easy to mod and convert. This amp still has the original 2-prong AC power cord which can be easily converted to a modern 3-prong. Of course as is always the case with one this old. You should plan to replace the old electrolytic power supply capacitors and probably would replace those and some others anyway while converting it ... morefor guitar use. The dimensions are approx 10” wide x 6” deep x 4.25” tall and it weighs about 10 pounds. As you can see in the pictures below it has speaker out terminals on the rear panel for using 4, 8, or 16 ohm speaker cabinets. The 6BM8 power tubes are NOS(new old stock) vintage pair of Raytheon. The 6CA4 rectifier and the 12AX7 preamp tubes are vintage and probably original to the amp… all tubes test good. I plugged in a guitar to test this amp and everything works except for the pilot(power on) light which will not be difficult to replace and if it were me. I would replace it with a regular guitar amp jewel light assembly(Fender style) such as seen on most vintage and modern guitar amps. This little beast actually sounds really good right now just as it is. Impressive warm tone with plenty of punch and when cranked up it breaks up nicely… obviously has lots of potential and with proper modification. Such as new caps and some tweaks to voice it for guitar, it should convert into a very cool fine guitar amp… could also be converted into a nice harp amp. So there you have it. This one measures about 2 inches long and 13/16 inch tall. This cleat is beat up. Ugly, the chrome is pitted, scratched and worn but would be great for a DIY project or decorating a nautical room.
