Mosquito Magnet Liberty Plus Thermoelectric Module
Removed from my Liberty Plus. Which will not start up reliably. I tested it by using a hair dryer to blow hot air thru the combustion chamber. It produced about 1/2 volt DC after the dryer was running for about 30 seconds. Then, the dryer shut off. My gf is pissed. This may not seem like enough voltage, but the main circuit board has a dc to dc converter built in which takes the 4.8 volts from the battery(which can drop as low as 3.0 volts and still operate) and boosts it up to 12 volts to run the system and the 12 volt fan. So, I would guess this same converter can boost 2-3 volts(or whatever is produced by this thermocouple module when it gets hot) up to 4.8 to 5.2 volts to charge the 4.8 volt battery. That is the only function of this thermocouple module; to charge the 4.8 volt battery.
