This is an old Continental 66 small motor engine. It has a vertical shaft so you could use it on a minibike or go cart. Very cool looking and old school. I do not know how much compression it has. Very nice Perkins vertical sideshaft hit& miss engine. Great compression. About 1 1/2-2hp. Tag is not stamped. No CBWs that I have seen. I have seen the engine running a few times through the years and as recently as a couple weeks ago. You will need a buzz coil and battery to make it run. The engine is missing the correct muffler and gas tank. Very nice desirable size and configuration with 2 flywheels instead of the 1 flywheel pump engine. I have no idea what specialized purpose this motor is supposed to drive as it clearly states“vertical mount only” on the label and I consequently expect the bidder to know what it is for. The shaft diameter is 5/8” x 3 ½” Long and has a 3/16” keyway. The motor appears totally unused but does have a small“wing-ding” on the base(see picture) and makes a strange faint‘whistling’ sound when the shaft is rotated. For detailed information please take a look at the close-up of the label. I have absolutely no idea how to test this motor and expect the buyer to have it professionally checked out before installing.
