This is a lightly used smooth Running Sears Craftsman 1/2 Horse Power Electrical Motor from a wood Lathe. It is a reversible Capacitor Start A.C. Motor-General Application and Jointer wood shaper planer belt and disk sander etc. Currently wired CCW at shaft end of the right shaft.the right shaft is keyed@ 2" long 5/8" diameter. This is by far the nicest Vintage Craftsman motor I have ever had(and I've had a few! Model 115.7429 All I had to do is dust it off to show. It was used to power an old Delta Jointer. A bit of dirt and rust and wear but a real gem for its age! It is Ball Bearing Capacitor start 33450 RPM 115 Volts 60 cycle 7.8 amps Reversible It has an automatic shut-off if overheated. Type CRI8Ok9 It has a built in base with on/off switch.The shafts are 1/2" diameter flat sided for@ 1 1/2" overall about 1 3/4" Currently as you face the nameplate the right shaft rotates CCW at shaft end. This is a vintage heavy duty Craftsman electric motor. Its model 115.6962. 1/2 horsepower, 8.2 amps. Ball Bearing, 1750 RPM and it is reversible. It has a 1/2" diameter shaft on each side. Good Craftsman 1/2 .5 HP 110v AC Electric Motor 3450 RPM 1 Single Phase
Selling With No Reserve! Hi! I have for Auction here a nice working 1/2 HP Single Phase 110 Volt Craftsman Electric Motor. It runs at 3450 RPM's. The shaft size is approx. 2" long and 5/8" dia. I believe it probably came off of a Jointer. Belt, Disk Sander but could be used on anything. The black cover sticking out the back is another shaft coming out the back side and it is approx. 1-1/2" long and 1/2" dia. it has no keyway but just a flat surface. I did not test this motor. Good motor for just about anything. I don't know much about electrical stuff but it has a regular 110 plug and another set of wires coming out of it which may be for the on& off switch. See Pictures. The brand name is no where to be found. But I do know that the person who owned this primarily used Lortane, Craftsman and Beacon Bay. I purchased this at an Estate sale of a man who lived his life collecting Rocks and Fossils. This unit was mounted on a wooden board and works perfectly. The board was worn and would have been a hassle to ship so I detached it for the auction. The winner of this auction should have no problems re-mounting it either to a board, a piece of metal or even directly to a tabletop. The unit has been well taken care of and there is no rust. The saw and pulleys turn nicely with no drag and the motor runs quietly and as it should. As you know small electric motors weigh a lot so if the winner didn't need or want the motor I will take $10.00 off the shipping cost. I have for this auction a good 3/4 hp Marathon Electric Motor complete with Mounts. It was removed from a Sears Craftsman Table Saw. Probably a late 1950's or early 1960's model. The number on the saw base is 103.22161. I will offer this base for sale as soon as I get it out of my shed) I did not find a number on the motor or mount. The plate on the motor has the#3M56C17D195E R. Stamped on it along with 3/4hp, 1725 rpm. That same id number is stamped into the motor case. It works, I wired a plug onto the piece of cord that is coming from the saw, plugged it in and it ran smoothly. I tried to show in the pictures all the angles, it will need some work on the electric cord but everything else seems to be in good condition. It has normal wear from being used but is in good shape. Vintage Craftsman 1/2hp Electric Motor 3450 rpms 115v
This is a used Craftsman 1/2hp electric motor. I'm not sure what it came off of but it still works and runs well. The rpms is 3450. 115 volts, 7.3 amps, cont. duty. This has a thermal overload to protect the motor. The shafts are 1/2" and have a little wear and rust. The cord is dried out and will need to be replaced. Craftsman vintage electric motor 1/2 horse dual shaft 1750 rpm
Nice Craftsman 1/2 horse dual shaft motor. Chrome part has some dents but still shines nice. I'd take that off and go over it with a little wallpaper wooden seam roller to raise the dents(works for me) Scratch on one shaft does not interfere. Runs well. On/ off witch works too. You could put a forward/ reverse switch there instead. Let me know if you need a cord and plug attached. Has a little sawdust in it but it isn't caked with it.
