This motor appears to be in good shape. Shaft turns freely. Some brass components. Enameled frame, oak base. One screw missing from top plate cover, two mounting holes drilled in oak base. Overall shaft link is approx. 5" Base is approx. 5" wide by 5-1/2" deep. Approx. height is 6" I do not know what voltage this is. Found in an old repair shop, nice vintage motor. Let me start off by saying I am not 100% on this one. I know it is an antique electric motor of some type. I am not sure if it is for antique toy ran by steam engine or maybe a patent model. There are no markings anywhere on it. It does look like the arm that makes contact with the shaft the flywheel is on was replaced at one time. Other than that it seems to be all complete. Antique Hamilton Beach of Racine. Wisc. sewing machine(believe these were used on other light tools too) motor and original rheostat speed control. AC-DC, No. S3211, motor 3 1/4" diameter, 5 1/2" long(includes shaft) assembly(with spring loaded base) 5 1/8" high, 6" long, 4 5/8" wide. Speed control 5" high, 9 1/2" long, 4 3/8" wide, pedal 8 1/8" long and 2 5/8" wide. Tried this bout 25 years ago, worked but CAREFULLY tried it just now. Motor and speed crontrol work, little slow but needs oiling,possibly brushes too. Think these were patented in 1917, but this is an early one, marked patent pending on the brass motor plate. Amazingly complete, original cords and plugs, but for anything other than display this needs new wires. Just a little scummy, wear on motor base and controler paint with ... morevery light rust in those areas, the motor body is aluminum, the nickel plating on the rheostat housing is excellent, overall this one is in exceptional condition.

This is a wonderful Vintage Antique Electric Moto r in superb condition with original pap ers. My neighbor down the street is selling this. He stat es that it is very old. But does not know exactly how old. Just that he got it from his dad when he was a kid, not finished, and he finished it about 5 years ago. My neighbor is 62. It runs quite well on about 3 volts at around 3 amps. This motor is most definitely a fantastically operational and display motor. It stands about 4 in. tall and about 4 in. wide at the base. This motor is in original condition from back in the 20's or 30's. No repaint or touch-ups. The only thing that is of a newer time is the green armature wire and the carbon brushes for the commutator. When Joe completed the motor with the. Still on there, flat copper commutator wipers. Antique cast iron Emerson ELECTRIC MOTOR w Brass /old Tank or Pancake type
Offered without reserve is a great looking old cast iron 1/8 HP. 104 Volt electric motor from an estate. I suspect that it would date back into the early 1900's era, circa 1920 give or take a few years. It looks a lot like the motors used on early 1900's era Electric fans that are often referred to as Tank or Pancake type motors, but larger in size. It is very well made and it is heavy for its size, I have not put it onto a scale yet but would estimate that it weights approx. 30 or 35 lbs. It has solid brass connector blocks on the top and a large brass tag on the front. The cloth covered wires on top have a bit of fraying to the insulation. I connected a wire lead to the 2 brass connectors to test, the motor runs perfectly on standard 110v house current and it runs very quiet and smooth. There is an oil cup on each side, it also ... morehas a pulley on the shaft to run a belt. There is wear and some chipping on the paint as shown but overall it looks Very good and it displays well. It measures approx. 10 1/2" tall, 8" wide, the shaft is approx. 10" long end to end, it is approx. 1/2" in diameter, the mounting base is approx. 8" square, hopefully someone would like to add it to a collection or can put it to good use.No Reserve! have fun bidding! Here are some antique motors right out of a collection.Except for a little dust they are in great shape and they were tested with a 6 volt lantern battery and they all run. All of them are scarce and some are rare from 1896 to 1915s.The Porter#1 without the(K&D) on it is very rare. It's the only motor porter put out before K&D brought into the company. Note the Porter#1 with the K&D on the tag.The Star Dynamo was the first motor to use bakelite as part of it body when the radios came out with the bakelite in the 1915's.The little motor with#1 on the tag is thought to be a phototype for the Ajax motors. The#2 Porter fan is really cool. Lots of brass on these old motors.They sure knew how to put the eye appeal on the motors back in the old days.If you collect the vintage motors or just the porter then here's your chance ... moreto get some really nice and some really rare ones. This is one beautifully pinstriped. Antique, early Western Electric Company bipolar motor with brass plate that says it is Type G-1, 110 volts, 1/12 H. P. No. 14285, 1.1 amp. and 1750 rev.rpm) I found the motor with the attached brass pulley, which easily comes off with a set screw. Motor is missing one carbon rod(as seen in close-up pics) Wires are unattached; I didn't want to take the chance of hooking anything up and burning the motor out. Armature turns freely. Here is an old Edison Electric motor. It has nice paint. The armature turns freely. I am listing this as not tested and not working because the wires to the brushes and switch on top are disconnected and the original wire mesh brushes are worn down to almost nothing. I truly wish I could tell you all about this primitive antique motor but. I don't know anything about it. My husband says it is a DC motor. When I turn the knob on the side. The inside piece moves easily. It measures about 3 3/4" tall not including the round wood it is mounted on. The wood piece has a diameter of 4 1/2" This motor weighs 3 lbs. 2 ounces. mounted. You are looking at an Antique 1920's Westinghouse 1/2 HP Induction Motor. AR Type. It is 110/220 V, 7.6/3.8 A. 1725 RPM. I turned it on for approximately 40 minutes and it worked well. The paint looks like it is original and the motor is pretty clean. Great motor for antique, small lathes like a Hardinge Cataract, Southbend, etc. I do not know if the two brushes are original. But they are in OK condition. Their dimensions are 3/4" wide, 3/16" thick, and 13/16" long(new ones are probably 1" long) The dimensions of the motor- body diameter is 8 1/2" Total height is 9" and base is 8 1/2" x 6" Its weight is 56 lb and 3 oz(25.490 kg) On the left bottom corner of the label. It is in good working order and has a great worn look to it. It measures 19" by 19" by 13 inches. I am starting this auction at 99 cents with no reserve. THE ROBBINS& MYERS COMPANY ANTIQUE DC ELECTRIC MOTOR This motor is from the DC era. About the turn of the century when DC power was supplied to the public. I do not know where it is from, or for what purpose it was used. It requires, 115 volts DC, draws 2 amps, 1,150 RPMS, 1/4 horsepower, and has a shunt winding motor(what ever that means? made by the Robbins& Meyers Co. of Springfield, Ohio, USA. All this info can be found on the brass name plate on the motor(see photo) It's 8- 1/2" tall, 8" wide and 10" front to back(shaft end to shaft end) It weighs a hefty 37 pounds, very beefy for it's size! I am not sure if it runs or not, as I do not have a DC power source to run it. It's very cool looking, very industrial! I take great pride in my 100% positive Feedback. And indeed to keep it!
